PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

This little black duck would be more upbeat about the possibility of making, dare I say it...the finals if we had a better forward line.

last year our top goal kicker was Richo who roamed far and wide, with 48 goals. He spent very little time at FF. Next was Morton with 35, Brown 35. Deledio 28, then Riewoldt, 18 only, then space.

So who will fill the FF post this year...possibly *smile*. who runs hot and cold is 193 cm tall but pretty light at 95kg, compared to say Franklin, who is 196cm, and 101 kg. Fevola is a little shorter than *smile* at 191cm but weighs in at 100kg. Remember these two kicked 113 and 99 goals for the season and provided great targets for their teams. Geelong, of course have Mooney at 195cm and 99kg and a very strong and bustling type.

Unfortunately, Hughes has not got there as yet, so who do we have to kick enough majors to make the finals. It seems to me we have to pin point Morton and Riewoldt with passes or kick into space to allow them to run onto the ball to mark. Not enough bulk and height for mine.

Yes, I know some other teams have similar problems, like the Bullies and Adelaide. What I wouldn't give to have a Nick Riewoldt in our side, or a Pavlich.

This is my concern. Do we have the manpower up forward to kick enough goals to win enough games to take us into the finals?
