I would (COULD) never barrack for another team, but ....

Like so many on here I left the ground in despair, hearing so many saying "enough is enough," I'm not going to any more games," etc., etc.

Did others hear the crowd constantly yelling at the top of their voices, "kick the bloody thing." Half time and 99 handballs.

I have been a Tiger supporter and member all my life and could never change, but the pain is getting almost too much to bear.

I'm worried I'll get done for child abuse for making sure my little one is a Tiger's supporter.

I will always support Richmond I could not do anything else and I will hurt every time we lose but as it stands now if any of my kids were to say they followed another club I would not try and talk them out of it. Currently all three barrack for Richmond but the youngesst is definitely wavering and he is 7.

Just be thankful that there is no relegation in the AFL, because Richmond would be in 4th Division. Our club is the worst AFL club by far and getting worse not better. Lets face it we are an AFL club by name only.

I go along every week but like the players I'm going through the motions.

I dont watch the footy shows anymore (that I used to watch fanatically) because my energy & passion for football is being sapped by this joke of a club. This is the first year I cant really be bothered watching other games on tele. I cant even get excited by Dreamteam and Supercoach.

The only good thing about the RFC is the history, club logo, colours & song....and a couple of current players. The rest is rubbish.

Lets start again...again. We need fresh hope, even if deep down we know we are kidding ourselves.

This is what the Board,Coaches and Players don't grasp - where will the next generation of supporter come from if we diehards are getting so irritated that we cannot bear to go, watch, listen or stand up for the Yellow and Black.
I will always love this Team but my kids ???????
Please Tigers- give me something to be proud of at games end - even with a loss :'(

The worst part is, I keep believing we are going to win each week, and go into each game with optimism - only to be let down week after week. I find it better to just look at positives of single players efforts now.

That's great. Should keep you going for about 30 seconds each week.

I said to myself that when Terry wallace was appoinred that if this rebuild doesn't work then that is it for me. Ive been a supporter since grade 1 and am now 35 and been a Member for 11 years. I've only seen half of the Carlton game from this season and that was enough for me, i won't be renewing my membership next year ( Full AFL Member). Enough is enough and for me it's time to walk away, i've finally lost faith for good.t

me too - that is why it hurts so much

it's pretty heartbreaking stuff. us tigers fans have definitely had the worst run of any team. freo are really the only team in the last 15 yrs to rival us

i remember when i must've been about 7 or 8 trying to become a geelong fan. cos i was so sick of being upset over the tiges all the time, it's just not possible. something needs to happen.

i want a semi-clearout of the football department and a new young coach to go with a list management team that makes all list changes. this is where most clubs fall down, giving too much permission to the coach, we have seen it with our last two coaches, frawley(sziller for example) and wallace(mcmahon), long term for them is the length of their contract, we need to seperate these two responsibilties and have staff that get appraised only on list management performance

i'm considering going for board election within the next few years. i'm sick of sitting here and watching this continue, i feel like it's time to do something

yes tigerjoe12 - the current board is not showing us it is hearing or feeling our pain and is certainly not doing much about changing our current situation. I, like yourself just want it to stop. Following the Tigers just hurts far too much.

not sure but I have no confidence in the present administration at the moment. People say they are doing ok but really - how can that be the case. Raising money is one thing but we need on field strength and not getting it from this lot.

How worrying are all these comments?? If this is the trend throughout, not only members but supporters, then god help this once proud club.

I do wonder if the board, coaches, players and the club in general are aware of the disquiet amongst us all. Too many years of disappointments. Too much spin in the media of "improvement," which has not happened, year after year!! How much more pain do we have to endure until we get teams on the field who are at least competitive and have some skill levels. Yesterday was as bad as it gets. No, I have not forgotten the Carlton game.

I don't have an answer, except we need a new coach, sooner rather than later, a heavy handed clean out of players who are not skilled enough....and I don't name them as I don't think doing so serves any useful purpose. After all they get selected, take the field and play to the best of their ability, which in many cases in just not up to AFL standard. Just perhaps, an interim coach would instill some sort of proper game plan and provide a new approach to the team. Who should that be?? How about Sheeds taking over for the rest of the season? Then appoint a new younger coach who is up to date with the modern game and ready to be ruthless in cleaning out the dead wood. Then again, I guess that just won't happen.

Apart from that I wish I was an all seeing all knowing seer that could solve the malaise which seems to be affecting this club which was once so feared.

I can't support another team.

I just follow other sports and I'm more passionate about them now. That's Richmond's fault. Failure. Failure. Failure.

thats exactly how i feel. when kevin muscat held up the a-league toilet seat in feb 28 i shed a quiet tear. you know why? it is the first time in my life i saw a team i follow passionately win a grand final live in the flesh. That's Richmond's fault. Failure. Failure. Failure.

look, i gotto say i think gary march has done a reasonabe job in the circumstances... but if there is a spill of the board and fresh elections were held i wouldn't vote for him or anyone aligned to him. he lost my vote after selling a home game interstate.

Richmond supporters would have a hard time giving up their support... it seems harder to give up than it was for Benny to give up ice.

It just hurts too much... I want to quit but I can't!

Although...

IN the end, even the Eagle's favourite son managed to start life over with another club.

It took a few years of abuse before it came to that... how many more can WE endure before we suffer a similar fate to Benny?

Failure after failure is ruining this football club. My nephews laugh at me when i try and get them to support richmond. We are dying a very slow death
