Play the kids Wallace. Collins, Connors, Post, Nahas, Hughes, Thomson, even Vickery. Just play them. Give us something to look forward to on Sunday and for the rest of the year. Pump games into them early and we'll reap the benefits. If we lose, so be it, but I'd rather see 22 Alex Rance's running around giving it their everything then over-paid has beens who don't deserve the jumper.

And please, don't drop Edwards. He's 19 years old. Play him in his correct position FFS.

"Don't drop Edwards - he's only 19"

FFS - are you serious???????? >:(

19 or not - he shows nothing to suggest he will ever cut it.

I'm all for your idea of playing youth - but only until they have shown their potential.

Shane tries hard - but will never cut it.

Nahas in - Edwards OUT!

Play him out of position and of course he won't cut it.

WHAT?

he`s not 19,he`s turning 21 in october and has played 35 games.

but i agree he should be played in his correct position,AT BLOODY COBURG!

Well you don't just lose talent. I saw Shane play u/18's and was one of the stand-out juniors in my opinion. He backed that up with two solid years in the seniors. And now people are calling for his head?

People are calling for Edwards to go back to coburg as he has had 3 shocking games

you can't keep carrying players that do that
especially when the team ain't winning

Blame the coach for putting him behind the ball. When I heard about this move in the pre-season I was shocked. Edwards' best work is in-tight with the ability to run hard and create space and move forward. When he's got the play in front of him, his natural instincts are to run and take the game on, but we all know his kicking isn't his greatest asset.

Fine, he's been poor so drop him, but I refuse to believe for one second that Edwards' doesn't have what it takes to be a senior player.

FWIW, i thought Edwards was one of our better players yesterday even though he is played out of position. When he debuted he did so in style and ever since, he has been moved everywhere. Let him settle in the forward line.

Thing is, he's an inside midfielder with a touch of class. Fine by me to let him develop in the forward line as he's more than handy there, but if Wallace fails to find his true position, then this is another kid wasted who will shine at another club.

Edwards may be being played out of position ( what is his best position?) but how does that affect his ordinary foot skills, his incredibly small frame and lightness and his "ability" to be knocked off the ball so easily?

As said before, people forget he's only in his 3rd year, you can't expect him to have a mans body now can you? All I'm saying is, don't right him off. If he's in the seniors, play him up forward where he can create and present as a small forward or let him develop at Coburg in the guts where he should be.

Cotch,
WI would also like to see this happen....but I would like to see it happen THIS week.
One blanket change.

I think bringing young players in one at a time gives them a chance to get seduced by the older mediocre players they are surrounded by...hence we see young gun after young gun destroyed at the club.

By bringing them all in at once.....at least you are giving them a chance to forge their own identity and start a new 'culture' together, which if I remember correctly, is what Wallace wanted to do when he sprouted it in his first press conference after he signed his 5 year contract.

Ah yes but Livers you are looking at it long term, as a responsible supporter of the club....Wallace is playing for self preservation. That was always going to be the problem this year.

Some kids just are not up to it bodily or mentally, but we could (and should) certainly be playing a lot more, especially over some getting opportunities undeservedly or unwisely.

Hear hear! Been saying this for nearly 5 years and we still get the same nightmare hacks....simply because the coach wont make the tough calls and there are too many bleeding hearts making Richmond look like a pack of small kids in a creche....wrapped in cotton wool.

It won't happen

Nothing wrong at this point of time bringing in kids, Collingwood (3 debutants 2007) and Carlton (3 debutants 2009) both with coaches who had the balls to do it against us came away with the points.

Stuff it.........bring the kids in.

I think it's gone beyond that now. I reckon he believes that whatever happens this year (outside of a Premiership), he won't be coaching the Tigers next year.

The only way for him to leave Punt Rd with any credibility is to get games into the kids, as a selfless act towards the new coach.

Sadly I don't think that's in Wallace's make up - that's all fake tan.
