IMO - the decision was right - the place for injured CONTRACTED players is the LTIP list. They could have delisted him - paid out his contract - and then had another draft pick.

You can get Benny with your #6 pick - so what's the problem

The AFL made the right decision about GP but it is great to see that the powers that be at TIGERLAND are thinking beyond the square and pushing the AFL as hard as the other clubs have been doing over the years.

Let's put it another way. If it was Paddy Ryder that was hit by a tram and Essendon tried doing the same thing to get Cousins how many Richmond supporters would say "hey what a great idea Essendon, I hope you get it done"? Probably about 10% while the rest would be ranting about how Essendon were trying to shaft the system. Get some perspective people, the right decision was arrived at and now Richmond have to decide who to take to help the club over the next 2-10 years.

I only saw one deleted post Zoso. Your language was clearly against the site guidelines and it was reported by a few people. If people can't contain their temper it might be an idea to log off for the night.

I am talking about my response to claws accusation that Polak was p!ssed or high when he got hit by a tram Rosy.

It's been an incredibly hectic day on PRE and all of the Mods make decisions as they see fit. There hasn't been time to compare notes but I'm sure if posts have been deleted there would be reasons behind it. If anyone has issues it would be best to message the mods privately.

But the rules were bent to suit Essendon and Rama. I understand Rama was out of contract but based on the Polak decision today what should have happened back then was that Rama was offered a one year contract on the normal list and then placed on the LTIL and replaced by a rookie. I can't see why the fact that one was contracted and the other not makes any difference.

The fact is the rules were bent to accommodate Rama, they were not bent for Polak. FWIW I think the Rama decision was the right one and the Polak decision the wrong one. Reeks of inconsistency. Does anyone else see the irony in the main instigator of the Rama decision, EFC CEO Peter Jackson, being the most ardent supporter of the RFC being afforded the same treatment with Polak?

im not complaining rosmerta but it seems a post i did here has totally disappeared. i havent had a pm telling me it was out of line so im just wondering. its neither here nor there anyway. you guys have atough job and if i step out of line i have no probs with a post being deleted or disappearing.sheesh i wish i could make half my posts disappear at times.
