Our effort was encouraging against a Port side who were only playing at 60-70%.

No matter which way you look at it in the end we lost and thats what matters when youre trying to get into the 8.
Its not based on effort its based on winning games

As with last year, we probably will, because there is virtually no chance of making the finals... where is the effort (early in the season) when it really counts and the pressure is on?

Little use winning and/or cutting the run for the finals so fine, its easy to do anything with no pressure. I would love to have as little pressure as the RFC players have atm and get paid as much.

If Richmond displays the same effort for the rest of the season we'll be 1-21.... we lost the game.

Personally i'm sick of 'great effort' games, we had one against Geelong and looked what happened the following 2 weeks (dogs, Dees). we need to win those games to prevent efforts like carl, dogs and the dees.

Promising edeavour on the weekend. Nice to see us beat Port in the tackle count and surprise, surprise, we almost took the points.

We are no chance to make the 8 and to be honest, the longest lasting legacy we may be able salvage from this season is a high draft pick. Wins from here in may feel good for now, but another quality mid into the Cotchin/Delidio/Foley mix or a quality KPP would feel alot better in a few yrs time
