If games fall our way this weekend, we could end up 7th.

Essendon to beat Freo here (reasonable chance)
Collingwood beat St Kilda (close game, Magpies are a good chance)
Adelaide beat Sydney (the crows are red hot)
Richmond beat Power (its now or never boys - go tiges)

It would the mean that we move to 32 points and 7th spot (equal to the Swans, but our percentage is poor)
St Kilda in 8th with 28 points
Power in 9th with 24 (making RFC two games clear)
Freo in 10th also 24 (making RFC two games clear)

The Port game is really season defining, win this one and we make life easier for ourselves, drop it and the pressure is right on, especially with out low percentage.

Have a really good feeling about this one, GO THE TIGES!!!!!! :clap :clap

The build up to this game (via coments on PRE) is feeling way to pre the Hawks game for my liking :help

We only have control over what we are doing and there is still way too long to go until the end of the season.

One week at a time... now where have i heard that before?

Difference is, GR, that Port are nowhere near as sh!t as the Hawks...given our tendency to play better against better opponents and go to sleep against an un-rated opponent.

And besides, mb64 has said nothing yet... ;)

Easy now dont get yourself all keyed up for a fall, remember we are playing Port in Adelaide and they have slowly been getting their act together over past 4 weeks.

another spin

Richmond, Collingwood and essendon win

Rich and St.K will be 7th and 8th on 8 wins

next team Port is 9th with 6 wins..

it would be nice to be two wins clear of ninth place :D :clap

We might need the two game buffer given our next four matches; Melb, Swans, Saints and Dogs.

saints and dogs are at the G. i reckon they're 50/50 games going by our form there. we'll lose to melbourne, but we are capable of rebounding against the swans... they're not in the best of form and our record at the SCG is good. still this week is crucial

Saints V Richmond is looking like a massive game as both teams are battling for 8th at the moment and looks like they will be until the game

what was i smoking?

Essendon weren't that far out of it. Their kicking for goal was woeful and cost them a great chance at winning.

The way its panning out it looks like 8th spot wil be fought out by Richmond, Fremantle and Port Adelaide (Geelong and Brisbane outside chances at this stage).

After this weekend the run home is:

Port: Geelong,St Kilda, Sydney, North, Bulldogs, Collingwood, Adelaide, Fremantle
Freo: Collingwood, Melbourne,Carlton,Hawthorn,Adelaide,St Kilda, WestCoast, Port
Rich: Melbourne, Sydney, StKilda, Bulldogs, Brisbane,Carlton,Essendon,WestCoast

Port look to have the toughest draw ,and the Tigers slightly the easiest. Tonight's game is of huge importance. Beating Port tonight should put them just about out of the race. Freo's percentage isnt THAT much greater than the Tigers. As its panning out theres a great chance of the Tigers making the 8, especially with 5 of those games at the MCG (2 at the ice-skating rink, and 1 at SCG)
