if your team was killed of who would you go for?

In my opinion, the Kangaroos will relocate to Canberra in the next 5 years, but still play at least 5 Home games in Melbourne (probably at Telstra Dome), and the Western Bulldogs will continue to call Melbourne their home, but will begin to play more games in Darwin. I don't think that Darwin is a place that the AFL could force a team to move to.
yes send kanga's there as they play there enough

And Hawthorn to Tasmania for the same reason.........

:hihi but the funny thing there is they would not be playing all games there and proberly still train in victoria and play most games at mcg that would be the only state i would not have a problem with hawks going there , funny thing is i knew some one here would say that after me agreeing with the comment on the kanga's :rofl but really i would not like it to happen to any club really

we are obviously all loyal, proud and true tiger fans who don't give a rats' ass about any other teams *represent*

but i recall when the Eastside Spectres became South East Melb Magic... then they disappeared (bankrupt?) so I followed Bruce Bolden wherever he went (Sydney Kings, then West Sydney Razorbacks)... perhaps because I don't really care for NBL and the only reason I'd watch it was because Bruce Bolden had big lips and a funny Free-Throw style which made him a cult hero (in my books). When Bruce retired I stopped caring about NBL.

I didn't really have anything to contribute to this topic, i just wanted to talk about Bruce Bolden because he's a legend and i miss him 8)

Darwin would be an ideal place for any AFL team! You have an awesome local talent pool. And also what a home ground advantage. Play the games in the afternoon. The opposition would be half-dead by half time.  :hihi :hihi :hihi

But seriously Darwin is way too small for an AFL team. We do appreciate having AFL home&away games up here. The doggies actually wanted to come for two this year but the AFL said no. We always have a pre-season game as well and usually an NTFL vs AFL team.

I'm not so sure about the relocation. Your scenario could be achieved without relocation. Look at all the pain and division that relocation/merging has caused already!
Agree with Dj If Darwin had a team there'd be a lot more Aboriginal players in the system.Big talent pool getting missed each year.Love the umpires carnival each year.Lived in Darwin from 93-2000. Still miss it up there.Mite have to make it back up 4 the Darwin cup.
