Im listening to the Geelong/Melb game on afl.com - they say is pouring down: looked at the weather on the Age and there will be some showers tommorrow, but no wind...

Just wondering what the pundits think this means for the teams selected : As it stands we're looking good for speed, but he wet negates that and I get the impression the Bombers have the edge in physicality which is an advantage in the wet but may be going in too tall for a wet night/ ground (?true/false?), ......

Forecast for Saturday
An early shower possible, and morning fog patches, otherwise fine. A partly
cloudy day with light wind tending northwest to northerly and strengthening
later.

Precis: Becoming fine.

As i recall we belted Essendon last year when it was wet?

Yes, was also the coldest day for 2005.

Yes it was......I spent that day at three games. Punt Road Oval hosted the Coburg VFL match in the morning (against Williamstown?) followed by the Essendon v Richmond match at the 'G and then I was silly enough to go watch the Storm at Olympic Park after that. I got wet standing in the rain watching the boys in the morningat the VFL match and by the time half time arrived at the rugby, I was frozen - it was bloody cold and wet!

I was sick for a week after that, but it was worth it........Coburg won, the Tiges won and the Storm won!

It brings up bittersweet memories. We won the game and I was able to tell my Dad that we'd rolled the Bombers, he passed away on the Thursday after.

I don't think that it will be wet tonight but there will be a strong North Westerly wind of up to 30 knots blowing.

We have been pretty good in wet weather games over the past few seasons and we know the wet doesn't worry Richo, so we should be alright.

Latest Weather ....
