a loonie? well maybe, but maybe you dont really know what yr on about.

its not about skin color and to say so and so is such and such cos of skin color is insulting.

judging if someone is full blood or half caste is 19th century thinking. its about people and their background and their families and their beliefs and outlooks and experience. it sure as hell aint about appearances.

but maybe it is for u. and if thats the case then u have a lot to learn.

You are really p!ssing me off six pack! >:(

There is a U in colour! ;D

Colour/color

We all know what those two words mean.

In the mid 1980s the Victorian Dept of Education sent a memo to all Govt schools saying that words such as these and others with the English 'ou' vowel combination or just the American 'o' sound/spelling were both acceptable and students were not to be penalised for either.

What does Brown's sexual preference have to do with anything? Yr problem is that u latch on to stuff that u don't understand and u make fun of it and when people take u to task on it u become insulting and childish.

Look up Eugenics and see if u can work out what's going on.

geez you've got a real problem if you find that offencive

First of all, indigenous Australians generally have dark skin as they have evolved to be more suited to the harsh Australian sun this is not a judgment on them just a fact. as for the blood statement, i share blood with my relatives, that's how i say i am related to them, i have English blood, some have Irish blood some have indigenous blood, its a way of stating heritage, not segregating races into classes

time to grow some thicker skin (hope this doesn't offend by saying my skin is thicker than yours or anything)

Nothing should be because of skin colour but it's a fact of life Indigenous Australians are dark skinned. What do you think about Nicky Winmar holding his shirt up and pointing to his skin? It's obviously he isn't insulted by, and is very proud of, his skin colour. I'm sure I wouldn't be insulted if people pointed out I had pale skin, or brown hair or blue/green eyes either.

I used to think along the lines that Aboriginal players were just players like everyone else and didn't consider their heritage. Judging by Michael Long's comments and the Dreamtime celebrations they are obviously very proud of their race so I'm happy for them to be discussed and honoured as Indigenous players.

It would be very sad it this turned into a racist thread in any way.

Some posts have been moved to the Racial Tolerance thread on the General Board. This is a football thread and can do without the political stuff and personal bickerin.

I hope we get Junior Rioli with Pick 18.

It would be wonderful to have a young kid with those precious (red) blood lines back in the Yellow and Black

I was proud of the way Nicky Winmar and Michael Long played their football. I admire them both.

Mitchell was awesome. From memory he won goal of the year and mark of the year in the same season. Right before Rhys-Jones broke his head.

I'd have liked to see Wally Lovett succeed. I think he came over from the Maggots as compensation for Raines (who was my favourite player at the time). Lovett was from the town I grew up in, so it would have been great to see him become a star for the tiges. I don't think he got to 25 games, did he?
