What do they say?
Out of every negative there comes a positive.

3 in a row now since their team mate went down in tragic circumstances.

There seems little doubt since that incident that this team has played with a new found resolve.
It's appears to have bonded the team somewhat.

Saturday night's win was as hard fought a victory as I can remember in a long time.
I thought Brisbane played pretty well but we wanted it more.
Our guys refused to give up and found a resolve in the last quarter that's rarely been seen at Richmond of late.

Third quarter aside, I was really struck by our intensity at the footy on Saturday night particularly in the last term.
We saw it earlier in the year but that pressure is back and it's even better this time around.
On occasions our tackling was simply ferocious. :o
We were hunting in packs and pressurising the Lions every possession across the ground.
Our shepherding is improving as well and our leaders showed leadership at the death.

It honestly looks from the outside that these footballers are finally starting to play for each other.
Good to see. 8)

Maybe, Oldie, just maybe.

Certainly was good to see some raw passion in the lads' celebrations after the siren. I think that they were SO hellbent on winning now is something we may have glossed over in all the talk about structure, list management and the like. It's certainly something I haven't seen in years (perhaps since the Northey era) and was something TW referred to when he joined the club.

Don't know. If it did do something to the boys just after the event then possible, but I don't think it's a case now. it may have been the catalyst to try that little bit harder.

As hopper said, the jubilation after Saturday's win was of a team that was hellbent on winning that game despite coming out for the final quarter over 5 goals behind. They had a goal and they made sure they achieved it. That's new to this team and if it's that new sense of belief and determination that Polak's Tram incident instilled, then there was a silver lining to that tram.

Not heard much of Polak lately. I do hope he was able to watch the match on TV. It's got to be good for his recovery.

I thought it had more to do with Wallace ripping off Clarko's cluster and employing that vs the Lions.

No better form of flattery than someone copying you I say.

We tried the Hawks zone against the Bommers too, both teams went coast to coast against us a few times when he had it on.

I wouldn’t be sorry at all if we dropped it.

I thought the way the players embraced each other after the game was a pretty good sign. They seem pretty tight knit.

I was watching the Weagles game again last night. Did anyone else notice the "secret" handshake between Connors and JR after one of JR's goals? They talk about those two and Hughes being pretty close after playing a few games together at Coburg.
