Re: Intra-Club scheduled for February 8

Can someone just refresh my memory where in relation to Ballarat is Learmonth?

Re: Intra-Club scheduled for February 8

Hey TigerTim
Learmonth is North-West from Ballarat
If you are coming from Melbourne, you don't even go into Ballarat, you Bypass the city and head towards Adelaide, there is a TurnOff to Learmonth. Small town with a strong Sporting Culture. The Lake has been dry for about 5 years due to the Drought so there is no yachting/speed boats and now the local Kids hold a B&S on there instead.

Thanks for that TR. Seems the Travelmate website needs some updating re the Lake!
I don't think I'll be making the drive from Frankston for an intra club though. I went to the one at Rosebud in 04 but that was a bit closer to home!

Re: Intra-Club scheduled for February 8

its all part of the community camp, I haven't seen the schedule yet, but I imagine that over the four days there will be opportunities to meet the players etc. The local RFC supporters group will probably be directly involved,I will find out more and update on this thread.

I've talked a few of my friends and family into going along to this one.

This is the best game of the year for a cellar dweller.

Re: Intra-Club scheduled for February 8 / Training Camp, Ballarat Feb 2006 [Merg

The Local Supporters Group has gone into overdrive and any $$$$ raised during this week at the Black Tie Night, Mall Lunch, Raffles, Auctions goes back to the Tigers.

Rule of thumb is usually $10K + each year since SOS.

Well Done Ballarat Tigers.
