Is Dean Polo the new Shane Tuck?

Thats all true & fair as usual Bob.

Wallace has made a fair step in dropping the man he unjustly traded for in McMahon just one game into the season. Most would thought him undroppable all season. Thats surely gotta be a reason to be happy with selection.

Dean is going to play tomorrow in any case.

& was always going to.
who is going to miss from the selected team? - is Tambling injury confirmed?

I was thinking about this a bit lately. Polo has shown some great pre-season form, has fully recovered from his should injury and is knocking on the door. If he is not given a chance as soon as reasonable I wouldn't blame him at all for going somewhere else where there will be more opportunity for him. That's exactly how we got Thomson.

He'll get his chance. We have a plethora of average struggling midfielders and HBF/HFFs. We are all desparate for any of these guys to take the "next step" like Foley has - particularly as our exceptional players start to taper off through age and injury and really can't be relied on to win our games for us.

I just hope they give guys a reasonable crack when they bring them up because it could very well be there career if they don't make it.

Reported in the The Age today that Polo is likely to come into the team, however it doesn't say who for. Anyone know more info about this? Is one of our mids carrying something?

Sheesh there's a few getting carried away on here.

Sure Polo should be in ahead of a few, no doubt.

But he's also a limited footballer who';; do his job but is hardly going to make the difference between us winning & losing a match.

well actually.. he won the match for us in his first ever game.. If he was actually given a bloody go just maybe he will show the doubters like you and wallace just how good he could be..
