Quotes from his presidents lunch.

"When I look at the way some of our senior players have put their hand up this year … the way they have gone about their football has been a credit to them.

"Our captain, Kane Johnson, has played most of the year with a broken hand, he could have easily missed six to eight rounds but he has continued to play and try to set ourselves up for the second-half of the year."

Gary, sorry to disagree with you but apart from Richo, our senior players this year have been absolute garbage. The way they have gone about their football is a credit to them?? Did you keep a straight face when you said this???? As for Kayne johnson, maybe if he sat out the six or eight weeks we may have performed a little better rather than having to put up with this constant turnovers and lack of effort.

Seriously, you have your head in the sand. Your list and your coaching panel is utter garbage.

That's the gloomy view. i don't agree but thanks for the report IITB

DDT, seriously, we don't have one player who honestly can be labelled a genuine superstar. Richo is richo and is nearing the end and foley is ok but who else do we have to look forward to right now? Honestly, that Nth performance was utter rubbish.

Richo is a superstar - equalled Peter Hudon and Wayne Carey for goals on the weekend. Alot more to come.

Joel Bowden has again had an excellent year.

Johnson has had a poor year

Brown, Simmonds and Coughlan have not gotten on the field enough

Tivendale has been good.

Sorry but Joel Bowden's best and worst are miles apart. For a player that has 2 all australians and 2 JD's, his decision making and disposal is a total disgrace and kills this sides confidence. I don't see glen archer making these sorts of errors. Not bloody good enough and until we eradicate these types of players from our side we will be going nowhere. Our ladder position is a clear indicator.

Lets look at the 'senior' list shall we??? i mean really, how many guys over 26 do we have?????

Richo = champ. no more needed.

Johnson - shouldve got his hand fixed. Doing himself and the club NO favours by playing on with it, especially given the half a$$ed performances that have come from our 'captain'.

Tiv - excellent year. Slammed some of his critics.

Tuck - Finally found form and got it together.

J Bowden - i dont want to talk about it!

Cogs - no games

Simmo - few games, finding form.

Brown - few games, finding form.

He must have his head so far up his own nether regions if he honestly thinks that we have a strong senior core. We DID when we had the likes of Staff, Chaff, Kella A, Kella D, Gas . . . ..

Richo is the only one taking the reigns and still trying his guts out. Dont see sugar running the length of the field and running back to the goal square in time for a mark and shot on goal.

Time to cull the passengers terry, our seasons going no where. Give the kids a run.

I tend to agree. This club needs a major reality check. Maybe the pres was trying out for a standup comedy gig? No one could be that delusional.

Agreed that Johnson shouldn't have been playing, I've said it before but he is hardly such a good player that we need him out on the park at all costs.

As for Gary March what do you guys expect him to say? Do you honestly expect him to bag the senior players? He is hardly going to do that.

Well let's continue to tippy toe around the real issues and continue to accept mediocrity for the rest of our lives. A lot of people bag Jeff Kennett as president but one thing is for sure. He tells it as it is and normally gets results.

Take some responsibilty. Be accountable. Grow some kahoonees and admit we are struggling but the future looks bright with the kidscoming thru.

It depends who he's referring to I suppose.  Terry has said on more than one occasion that our senior players and our leadership group has let us down in games but in some ways they've had to carry a heavy load considering injuries to our more experienced players.

Joel has been very good.  I don't think Johnno has been as bad as some on here reckon although where's the not playing anyone with injuries policy gone?

Richo has had a great year.

Tiv has been in pretty good form.

Polak would probably be considered senior in terms of experience, although he's younger than several of our mid-tier players, and he's been a wonderful pick up.

HELLO! HELLO! We've won one game for the year people!!!! Did March really say that!? Who the hell was he referring to I wonder?

Gary is talking nonsense but I'm prepared to cut him some slack.he's doing a great job as presidenthe's probably just trying to talk things up.If Johnson has a broken hand he should get it fixed & not play.
