Just want others opinions on whether you think it's possible Hydey is carrying some sort of injury.  He hasn't been anywhere near his best in the last 3 weeks or so.  We've missed his creativeness in the midfield and also his hard running and take 'em on style of play.  He's not winning the ball as much as he usually does and isn't getting as much time in the middle in recent weeks.  When Hydey plays good we usually win.  He's especially important now that Cogs is out for the year.  Thoughts?

GO TIGES!!!

Perhaps, or maybe it's just that other teams are paying him more respect since the Freo game (last 5 have been below his previous form). If he was carrying anything serious they could have played Meyer or even Rodan in his place. We're also missing his goals.   :(

yes. he got a partially dislocated shoulder (right shoulder i think) early on against collingwood but came back on. it wouldn't have helped when the next week against port he got hit late front on to the shoulder. he hasn't been having the same impact on the ground since.

Poor bugger has been having a rough trot of luck with these hard bumps.

I like Monster, he is tough as nails,no nonsense hard at it.

Hope he gets fit soon.

Correct me if im wrong but he has been playing off the back flank recently to try and replace newman. Played well on Davey this week I thought.

Hydey probably has something niggling away like a lot of players at this stage of the season just going by the way he plays the game. Wouldn't surprise me at all.

That is exactly right. In the warm up on Friday night he was in the defensive group w Gaspar, Kellaway, Raines, the Bowdens, White and Moore, indicating that he would play back. It has been a tough ask to replace both Newman and Coughlan over consecutive weeks.

Players like Hyde have had to shoulder a greater workload.

He's been asked to take the role previously vacated by Newman and is likely forfeiting the free flowing game we've seen earlier in the season for a defensive one.

It's costing us some strikepower up front too.

An acquaitance of mine is good mates with Hyde.He apparently played with a few injections Friday night with his main problem his shoulder.Copped a blast from TW during the game which is disappointing because he is obviously playing under sufferance.
