Is it fair to blame today on Kane Johnson?

johnson should definitely take part of the blame.
he is our capatain and went out and got pissed and caught pissing on a police station wall.
I respect him ore for pissing on a cop station then his football! ;D

one player doesnt make a team.

Yes, we certainly missed Johnson today. If he did play I dont think the result would have been too different.

We were totally pathetic today and many players were unaccountant. As Wallace said in the press conferrence, some players didnt deserve to wear the black and yellow jumper.

No we won't. The kangaroos are average and they mopped us up. Pies are a better team.

The side that finished top 4 last year is average? Nope, if they keep that performance today up they'll finish around the same spot.

Maybe not but I have little doubt the events of the last week contributed.
I don't blame Sugar though, I blame the coach for not being able to focus the players minds on the task at hand.
The disparity efforts between this week and last(2nd half anyway) were chalk and cheese.
The playing group are mentally fragile. Terry is responsible for addressing that.
I agree. Players are mentally fragile and its the coaches job to make sure they are mentally up and prepared.

I think it is. No doubt in my mind he was missed today and that his actions had a bad effect on the team. Just beyond belief how he could have done such a thing and hurt the team so much.

Thoughts?
I think it's fair to blame some of today on Johnson. When you look at his game and his role last week - he was sorely missed today. Don't think his presence alone would have got us over the line though.

What about the blokes who actually played today?? Johnson would have made no difference. Let's not kid ourselves we have the worst captain in the league. When i heard about his arrest i thought the tigers had staged it to replace him. But we weren't even smart enough t do that!!!

We all rubbish Kane who is the worst captain in the comp but also we have the worst midfield coach in the business Royal. We always seem to get smashed or have the wrong matchups in the midfield. Im really dirty we didnt get rid of a few of our assistant coaches from last year someone had to go after last years debacle.

fine is adequate.

1 week suspension 2 much imo.

1st blemish.
I think it did have an affect to a point but not enough to change the result of the game. At least he will be fresh for the Pies game & imo I hope he plays at his best !

Agree, but Royal & Wallace are very close & won't seperate. We do lack co-ordination between the midfield & forward setup. Lack of vision & under the heat of play they become to Richo focused. Not Richo's fault, but the person delivering the ball.

How hard is it to look for the other lose forwards when their opponent has gone to Richo. Geeez.

having johnson in or out of the side wouldnt make a difference.

but having yr captain behave this way certainly makes a difference.
