I think some people misinterpreted the point of this thread. My main point was that Terry, instead of speaking about 5-10 years time, when absolutely anything can happen, should be concentrating on our upcoming campaign thats about to start in a few days! I'd rather him stirring the pot a bit, putting the game on our terms, rather than revealing his long term plans. Because, frankly, apart from us supporters, no one in the footy world gives a rats, and if they did, they wouldnt admit it, and of course, hes gonna cop crap for it.
My concern is TW quite often does this.
His comments before the season even starts breeds mediocrity, and says thats okay, because we were always going to be mediocre.
I agree he wouldn't be telling this to all the players, but they can read.
We always tell each other here on PRE, not to write us off before the season starts.

Got no issue with the plans whatsoever, but I do think he needs to use more discretion & muzzle some off his thoughts to the media occasionally.
I'd imagine this season we are going to witness a lot of exciting play from our youngsters, taking on the man continuously with a quick burst of speed. I'd also imagine that we are going to see sh!t loads of mistakes and I reckon that's ok. Wallace sees the future of the game, rightly or wrongly as somewhat like a game of chance. Part of his 'underpromise and overdeliver' type spiel may be seen as negative and in danger of teaching the youngsters complacency but the other side of it is that these young players may think. Right, this bloke is going to give us adequate time to develop our bodies and skills. I can afford to be a risk taker in the way that I play because he is putting fair and resonable expectations on us/me. Great I say. As someone else eluded to in this thread, he is still talking premierships after all, just not for a while.
