Is it unreasonable to expect the players to put in the effort required to play 4 quarters?

No it isn't. It is what they are paid alot of money to do. Infact, the money should be a bonus for them.

Having been to all home games and the Doggies game I am staggered to continually see periods of determination and effort (bar the Carlton game) just fall away because it gets too hard.

We as supporters spend far too much time making excuses for the players and the club. How on earth can you expect the team to put the game first when they are apporaching the coach and asking for his resignation. Wallace should have been asking for thiers as they, as a group, have failed to meet any KPI's this year. If any of us performed as poorly in the real world we would be unemployed.

Criticism of our players can take forever. Every player on our list has a weakness and area they need to improve. Just like 95% of all players in the AFL.

What we need is a playing group that is united and 100% committed to the effort required to win. They should be absolutely stuffed at the end of a game, win or lose. All this, they are gutted and shattered is absolute crap.

They are so full of themselves it staggers me.

Hawthorn won the flag last year because they wanted it more than anyone else. They were prepared to do whatever it takes to win, every week. No excuses, no sooking.

When we can do what Hawthorn did last year for more than a quarter we will win games, even with Connors, Collins, King etc.

I am taking the Doggies game off this time around. I need a break!

It is hard to get 4 quarters out of a list that is riddled with cancers. How does that playing group expect anyone to think that they are a united group playing for the honour of the club, the jumper and the supporters? What does that senior group currently playing stand for? Not a whole lot...

From our captain down we have list riddled with selfish footballers. Not hard to see week in week out...sad thing is boys that it is this attitude that is going to land many of them on the AFL scrap heap after this year, nothing to do with a lack of talent.

CT, its called hard training, discipline and teamwork. NONE of which apply to the players excluding perhaps around 10 players at best.

This mob are so down in the sh=thouse, you'd probably find them out at Werribee, swimming around in the muck trying to figure a way out.

Until they get rid of the coach, get rid of about 99% of the Football Department and replace them with people who WANT TO WIN and DO ANYTHING TO WIN, then they will continue to be beaten.

A lot of these players will be culled and rightly so, they've got talent, they apply it all too infrequently come game day. No doubt some of them in 10 years time, will be regretting that they had some fantastic opportunities but failed miserably in taking those opportunities and they've got no one to blame but themselves.

Wallace gave it away a few years ago when he said he had to adjust his uncompromising coaching style at Footscray, to a more of a caring/fatherly approach, to suit the gen Y footballers of today. Look what this has done. Created a bunch of pussys who are so mentally weak, as soon as the slightest bit of pressure is put on them they go to water. The leaders of this club have let it down very badly. TW please *smile* off and take your 5 year blue print, your fancy graphs, and your KPI's with you. We have had enough..
