PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

It seems after their fade out last night he wants even MORE players on the inter-change bench.

Is he fair dinkum or is it just a bit of spin trying to deflect from the bummers' performance? Doesn't he realise that many people think it's the already extended bench which is the main reason for the style of footy we have to put up with these days?

Having said that, what the AFL needs is a system which protects you from injuries while also allowing a degree of rotation off the bench. I often wonder why they don't introduce a two level bench. E.g., two players on interchange and an extra four who if brought on, then whoever they replace cannot come back on the ground. You would only use the extra four to replace an injured player, or late in the game.
