PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

Just a slight change of pace. Listening to the radio Lou Richards has rejected a life-time achievement award and is hanging tough for Legend status. McChins has of course gone in publicly to bat for him. Now his long-time friend and colleague Jack Dyer has it, but Dyer is also in the AFL team of the century and was widely considered the greatest player of his day. Richards record is 250 games, 423 goals and a premiership captain - which is damn good in anyones language but he is no legend. Nothing against Richards (whom I quite like) but hopefully the AFL don't buckle to bully boy Eddie whinging. If he doesn't want a life time acheivement award (which he deserves) then that's his call, but he shouldn't get legend status.
