Is now a good a time as any to play Geelong?

Tiger Opinion said:
2000: Bombers were winning everything, played a massive Friday night MCG match against 2nd placed Carlton. Following week they were a little flat and copped a surprise loss at the hands of the Bulldogs, at Telstra Dome and coached by Terry Wallace.

Anyone on board for a little history repeating?

Ohh yeah.

I hope Terry has another trick up his sleeve for Geelong :)

I can see the playing group getting excited and confident of matching it with Geelong if Terry gives them an unconventional gameplan - especially once he reminds them how similar this is to when he beat the unbeatable Bombers of 2000.

As much as I'd love to go head-to-head, the prospect of using surprise tactics has me more excited.

Realistically, it's the only way we can go into the match with confidence.

We'll keep up until half time. Then get blown away in the 3rd quarter after another fade out. There's no way Geelong will let us back in during the 4th

Can you imagine if we somehow beat them :o

1) This board will explode
2) Finals will be assured (well 90%)

Its a long shot but its nice to dream of what could be.

I just beg the boys to go out with 110% commitment, for 4 quarters, ask nothing more.

It's probably best to wait for Saturday night as per the AFL fixture, then at least there will be a ground available, and more likelihood of a crowd and television coverage for those that can't make it! ;)
