Going on what we have read in the paper is Terry and Miller placing to much emphasis in next years perceived 'great draft pool" , and not think about building momentum for 2006 season with players who havent performed this year and lack what he sees as a requirement for the club?

I think its great for some kids who i would like to be given a go next year and see if they cut it, but what happens to others on the list.

He will need to find the right mix with youth and experience.

He will need to also work at developing those kids o our list he sees taking over positions on the field we lack pace, skill and ball and carry capabilities. He will need to find replacements for the Gaspers, Kellaways and Richo's who are the older type players.

So many kids are under 20.

A big development year for these kids. Maybe a backward step with possibly fewer wins than last year but more than our wooden spoon year of 2004.

So many mistakes were made by previous coaches and recruiters in the last 5 years prior to this year that are we prepared to go backwards in preparation for the draft of 2006?

To me it says that players whom we have spoken about so much this year about trading. delisting/sacking will be given one year contrats and a year to show their worth before they are shown the door and another mass exodus?

What do we all think?

Is this a ploy?

Surely not. The biggest issue is the great unknown...what will happen to the priority draft pick system in the 2006 draft?

I'd say they'll turn over the least amount of players possible this year.

Almost everyone (bar Morrison and Gilmour) will get a second chance next year. If they don't perform, we'll delist them and stock up with rookies from the 2006 draft (which is supposedly the best draft in years).

Jinx Gilmour wont get delisted! This is only his second year and he has just turned 18 probably should of been drafted last year! Definately should categorised with other first year players. Same with Archie!

Terry and co have said Gilmour will not be delisted. Has shown alot of promise last few games and has had an interupted year with injuries.

Thanks guys for your input.
