I fear that without a win next week, the boys will slip into a rutt like last year. The boys have been playing pretty good footy and playing with lots of heart. I really really hope a win is on the cards.

No.

After Round 3, many said the next 4 rounds would show whether we have improved. The first three of those four games have answered that question already. Our Wooden Spoon odds have gone out to $51 and our final 8 odds have come in to $3.75 (Darn I should have got on when we were $4.50).

Agree,a win is needed.A loss & then a game against the Cats could knock the wind out of our sails.

We really need a win to stay in finals contention, a win that would be a momentum builder. We haven't really beaten a good side yet.

This is the game where we see where we are really at. For all the effort we've put in in the last couple of weeks, we still haven't taken 4 points against top opposition. Saints are not currently top opposition, so the same effort here should see us win. If the effort isn't there we are likely to lose.

A blow out against the Saints could be the start of a downward spiral. It's all about psychology to sustain our efforts despite the lack of return. Dr Bonds may be earning a bit of overtime this week.

Spot on Bris...
The last few weeks have reminded me of the start of last year where we were in a wining position in every game but lost, then we faced Geelong (& we all know what happen from that point on), I see sat night as the most important game of the year to date, not in regards to finals but for continual improvement throughout the year. If we don't win one soon after all these efforts I fear the bottom may fall out.

Having said that, the tigers of last year would of given up early against the hawks after the bad start but we just kept coming throughout the night and never went away, haven't seen that in a Richmond team for many years.
