Is there a spot for Andrew Raines in your 22?

Too many young kids showing promise now. Can't see him making it.

This could turn out to be what saves him though. I think opposition teams had worked him out after his early career efforts and focussed on him.

Certainly if he is a one dimensional player, then I think he will struggle to make much more of an impact at senior level. But if the opposition teams have more to worry about, who knows, he might grow into another role.

I feel he will go the way of Bourke & Roach Jnr's unfortunately. Tries his heart out, but his skills let him down & there are others ahead of him who are just as capable.

Agree.

No, cant kick. Keep for this year and next then trade to GC along with McGuane for 2 first round draft picks.

Spot on pmac. Except we wouldn't get 2 first rounds picks maybe one 2nd and one 3rd but that'll be OK

Disagree with your agreement.

Raines is a panicking turnover merchant. Stick a fork in him....

Agree. Be gone ye merchant of the up and under.

Certainly is if he works on his kicking. Still think the wing is the best place for him. Get it and kick it long before the backs can converge. Old style of footy I know but I reckon it would work for him. He's tough enough.

Could still be the solution to the small-mid back pocket role with an occasional run in the midfield. Agree that he has to improve his kicking.

Wouldn't give up on him just yet. Needs to get his body right and take it from there.

no.
one dimensional, up and under kicking, often fails to hit a target.
King's got him covered.
gold coast trade bait.

McMahon > Raines
Newman > Raines
White > Raines
King = Raines but i would take Kingy.

so in conclusion...No.

All I can say is it is hard to see Andrew being in the best 22 next year.

Will he still be on the list next year? Hard to say. As much as it pains me, I would probably keep Hyde on the list for depth before I would keep Andrew. He really does look like an old fashioned one dimensional player.

Raines will end up being a very good player I think........hope he gets over his current injuries and is then able to strut his stuff on the football field
