PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

There is a really good thread over on Big Footy called 'The Ages of Richmond's List' it was begun in 2004 by an astute poster named 'Weaver'. If you have been around unofficial RFC sites for a while you will know him. Anyway it goes through the ages of the '04 list and make the point that in 5 years or so (ie now) we are going to have a big problem because of the quality of the players who are coming through - from Frawley's time. Hammer, Nail , Head IMO.

This made me think that all of the hand wringing about this year re our recruiting might be incorrect. We have made a reasonable fist of rebuilding the list, but untill the class of 2004 (ie Lids, Tambo etc) get to about 24-25 (beginning in 2011 ;D) and start to make up an AFL standard core, we will need to remain patient :peep.

So, my conclusion is this: there may well be light at the end of a very long dark tunnel.
