Is this week a CRUNCH GAME?

Have I become a darksider?..........have I simply moved on from denial?.......(step 1) to step 2.....(Anger)???
I love our list, the team is not the problem......some discipline would be nice, structure even....do any of our players other than Gas,Richo,Troy
actually know what position they should play?
I suggest push ups.... even during games....no tackle? gimmee 20. Hands on hips??? Gimmee 50!
Help me St Francis.....your my only hope

No, it isn't.

For anyone who cares, Scumwood are smashing the 'Aints in a praccy match, up by 8 goals or so just before half time.
Maybe the 'Aints ought to go into panic mode too. It is the first week of March after all.

Id say the players got mixed up with Malthouse re-signed and resigned TD ;D :hihi :hihi :hihi

Hint of truth there T-dog. My gut feel is the Saints won't be much chop this year. $100 for the spoon looks like value to me.

Gee, the preseason analogies just keeps on getting better and better..... :hihi :hihi

Every game is a crunch game because "you're only as good as your last game" and no-one is indispensible so you have to keep impressing the coaches each week

Maybe. Certainly not for the club but I would argue that for some of the players the opportunity to all play together (without the Seniors) is an opportunity to prove in a competitive situation who is best (relatively speaking). With the Captain on the park and the coach watching over.

Those youngsters on our list who don't view this as an opportunity to set themselves up for senior games are mad.

Practice match crunch game ??? ???

With the look of how the team may line up on the Tigers website
this looks like a look into the future will be very interested to see how
the young guys go Vs a pretty full strength Swans outfit?

crunch schmunch, practice schmactice.

its a lose / lose situation for the team this weekend anyway.

If they lose there will be spitting sessions galore on this site and if we win it'll be because Sydney were taking it easy on us ::)

The crunch game biz is just taking the *smile* on everyone bagging our list.
Our list is our list.....I think it's a great list, put some of our guys into other teams and see what happens!
Otto plays well for geelong for example.
What we dont have is teamwork, our boys have not gelled except on the rare occasion when they are not under pressure.
My immediate suggestions to rectify this situation apart from the pushups idea are........
1. A group parachute jump, whole team, NO EXCEPTIONS TERRY INCLUDED.
This will be expensive unless the marketing boys can get a company to exploit the obvious media potential.
I envisage prime time vision of the WHOLE TEAM freefalling in a circle. Bonding no?

2. Enrolling the whole team, Terry excluded in a serious Martial arts program.
My suggestion would be Kyokushin karate, a full contact (which could be modified) oldschool karate dicipline that involves building a strong centre.
This would only need 3hrs once a week and the benefits would include....
Increased stretching
Increased conditioning of both fast and slow twitch muscles
How to effectively slip tackles
How to win the hard ball
How to move in confined or high pressure situations
THE WHOLE TEAM having a hip and shoulder technique that would bring a smile to Jack Dyers face.
Their bone/muscle strength and resilience would improve drasticly and I'm sure Browny and Newman etc would be impressed by a sensei breaking a baseball bat with their shin.
Enough of me.....for now.
