Terry Wallet came to Richmond with a great pedigree in football. The man:
a. played in three premierships;
b. won a B&F in premiership team (ahead of players like Matthews, Brereton & Bukenara);
c. played brilliantly for Victoria;
d. took Footscray to several finals as a coach after developing a great list; and
e. was being chased by successful clubs like Sydney & Hawthorn to be coach.
Now I am not saying all good players make coaches - but HE WAS A HIGHLY RESPECTED COACH!!!
So the question is two fold:
1) did Terry fail Richmond or does the club have such a horrible culture that nobody could fix it; and after this
2) would any good coach (Williams, Ross, Worsfold) or up and comer (Hardwick, Buckley) want to coach Richmond.
This situation will be very damaging because none of the standout candidates will want the job. And then US SUPPORTERS will get a B grader.
There is no light at the end of this tunnel.....
