Fisher is a marking small, Big Blue Lover. There aren't many good ones. I reckon that he can't use the ball at all if he has an opponent. Some will have noticed. Some won't. When Bowden went with Fisher (when anybody does) he couldn't get the ball.

A peaheart mismatch specialist with poor use in the real stuff for mine. And of course being a Carlton player he's a double dud.

But hey, some people like him.

Nick Stevens played #4 or #5 mid in a premiership. (Roger James, Kane Cornes, Josh Carr, Peter Burgoyne ahead.) He has never been able to play #1 mid because he's not good enough. (He has been tried in the role. How bout them spoons, eh?) He played that against us though and buried us.

Stevens didn't play in Ports Premiership. Underrated player when on song. Clear best-on against us.

As for him torching Foley, how many players has Stevens destroyed this year? One? Foley's game on the weekend was awful. Had he been chopped up by Judd to that extent, maybe we could have lived with it. But Nick Receivens?

Tad harsh Jack, Stephens is 4th in the AFL for kicks and is averaging 24 touches a game this year, he got 25 on the weekend.

I do agree though if you charted Foley’s form over the past 18 months there has been a worrying decline over the past 6 weeks.

You forgot the worst thing that Joel Bowden is responsible for.

Richo started his career in fine fashion. He was kicking straighter than a sober man running towards the bar.

Then someone came to the club, a dark shadow cast over Richo's locker and behold the terrible curse of Joel Bowden. Richo's kicking for goal dropped faster than a Greg Tivendale from the squad after a bad loss.

Then the curse was lifted!

In 2008, from exactly the same game than Joel Bowden was dropped - Richo's kicking form returned to how it was in his first couple of years, and maybe even improved on that.

Coincidence?

We haven't played a single convincing 4 quarter game of football with Joel Bowden in the side this year.

I know Tivendale & Pettifer were also dropped from the side when we played the Dockers, but since Joel's return we've had no intensity in our game and only fallen over the line against two bottom four sides. Our form shot straight up when he was out of the side against Freo and departed against Essendon in the game of his return. Tivendale & Pettifer are out of the side and we're still soft, so Bowden is the only constant that matches our form exactly.

We should at least find out if the same thing happens by dropping him again. He's completely failed as soon as we try and play him as a midfielder or forward. I don't care about 39 disposals against Port, he was only BOG because Williams paid him no respect, Ratten exploited him and it played a massive part in winning Carlton the game.

I get the feeling that Wallace is nursing him to 250 games, but that basically means he'll play ever game for the rest of the season.

how can u possibly put all our loses on bowdens head, there r 22 plrs and coaching staff and ur singling out bowden as the reason we're sitting where we r on the ladder. he was great against port and his first half against carlscum was pretty good, he won his own ball and kicked pretty well, his 2nd half was ordinary as was the whole sides 2nd half so u cant just make bowden the scapegoat for a whole clubs bad performance.
