Sorry if i missed it, but i could not find any thing on the end of season Players review . A lot of players have been told what is required of them for next year .
Most of the younge boys got a big shock , and have had dummy spits at being told the truth about their years effort at the club this year .
A few of the parents have got their nose out of joint , for they have found out their little boy has got a lot of work to do , and is not as good as they think .
And a few well known older players are also in this situation .
Most of the list have been told to beef up in the gym , and do a lot of running , and start to think a game out , instead of just being on the park , in a R F C jumper . 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) :'( :'( 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Thank goodness that someone is telling all the kids who have never played an AFL game that they are not the best thing since sliced bread no matter what their mum and dads say.

As for the mum and dads - your little darlings have a job now and to keep that job they will have to work hard, really hard - not just strut their funky stuff each Saturday. (That doesn't apply to you Lids - keep strutting :hihi)

Kids at this level are used to being elite, well hears a news flash, the day they were drafted is the day they stopped being at the top of the pile and started again at the bottom.

I like the story of Karl Malone the NBA Utah Jazz player, the day after the JAZZ won the NBA, Malone was back in the gym working his guts out. The man is/was a leader and an absolute professional.

Agree. Excellent news. This will keep them on their toes. The parents can go to hell for all we care. Their kids have been given the opportunity of a lifetime & the club is ensuring they do everything they can to make it last as long as possible. Let's face it - even a first year AFL player's salary is better than what they will get out in the real world. TW let them ride along in his honeymoon year this year - now it is time to knuckle down & get fair dinkum.

I'd say this was directed more at the second year players, like Jackson, Roach, Hartigan and Gilmour.

Jackson - minimal ground time when picked.
Roach - one match before being sent to Coburg never to return.
Hartigan - injury trouble, but took him a long time to get his spot back.
Gilmour - again struggled with injury, but didnt really come on as expected.

Add Archibald to this who we all know is gone, and you'd almost think that TW doesnt think much of our 2004 crop.

with exception of tuck - 2004 crop did not do anywhere near as well as i expected

Hartigan is a player - but injury stuffed him up

Jackson, Roach, Raines did not offer much at all - they can really give us a push along if they come along in 2006 - we need guys that can run

Archibald & Gilmour did not fire a shot

I saw Coburg play a few times and followed there results in the news paper and on PRE.
Andrew Raines to my way of thinking had a cracker of a year ,similiar to Shane Tucks in 2004,and got miserly opportunities.
Along with Rix and beleive it or not Morrison must be top three for Coburgs best and fairest.
I don't know what his attitude was like on the training track, but he shaw did have the right attitude on match day

Jazz have never won the NBA, i'd say it was the day after they lost the finals, which is probably even more relevant to the Tigers' situation. M JOrdan dominated the Jazz, they were very unlucky to strike the bulls at their best o/wise would have had at least one championship

ppl are always afraid of honest feedback. the truth will *smile* you off, then it will det you free.

karl malone needed to practice after thoese lost playoff games, coz he choked!

Adding to all that, doesn't he have a 2nd job as a mailman?
