It's not a one man game

I just saw the round 1 promo on telly and anyone could be forgiven for thinking Judd will be the only player out there. It might be news for Ch10 but there will be 21 other players out there, and surprise surprise, there will actually be 2 teams..not just the Blue one.(I hope)

I hope the focus on Judd will work in our favour and his team mates will look for him iall the time instead of the best option. Do others think he'll be a standout or do we have the players to cover him.

.

What do we have to do to win (other than kick a higher score) and go top of the ladder on Easter Thursday?

Spot on Rosy there is alot of JUDD MANIA out there, but most of this is the television networks trying to PUMP IT UP for more interest.

Yes, Carltank have forgotton that JUDA$ can't play on his own. Who do they have? the last time I checked they don't have any of Cox, Cousins, Kerr, Embley, to help him, this is where they will struggle.

What do we have to do to win?

Firstly we MUST give a good showing, and competitive effort, as our past round 1's have been a NIGHTMARE.

If we win, that is great. we really need to try and change the CULTURE around and you need to win a few games to do that.

The only reason I would seriously think about going to this game is if we shared the gate receipts with the scum.

We are sharing gate receipts. See you there then!!!

Rosy, I honestly hope johnson gets first crack on judd.....so that judd can absolutely embarrass him in front of 80,000 people and prove that johnsons time is up not only as captain but also as a player.

You'd honestly rather see Kane fail than succeed? Unreal.

iitb would probably have counted out Jack Dyer or given Hart his marching orders.

Oh, that's right, it's this New Wave supporters' way of thinking.

I'm sick of the praccy game posts...who really knows what to read into our wins and losses...so it's time to move on imo.

Who is our best chance to blanket Judd? I reckon Sugar might get the first crack but I'd like to see Dan have a chance too. I'd even like to see Whitey or Polo given a run on him.

from what i am told last night in the nab cup half time they were going on and on about judd the media can not seem to get into their head it takes more then 1 person to play a game of footy and 18 teams to play the season judd is only 1 player and i am sick of hearing about how he is etc how about spreading that around and tell us how all players in all teams are going etc injuries what ever

Well yes, but I think a lot of us would be willing to investigate the mater further

Agreed - would need a full physical + several rounds of interviews before a proper assessment could be made.

I like it. If I was in charge of the network that would the angle you would take.

You want to maximise TV viewers. And let's be honest, Richmond V Carlton is not a genuine bona fide battle of two recent footballing powerhouses. They have to take the Judd hype to get people interested.

Yep, decent reality check! This too happened when the great Pitura crossed the to the Tiges :-X It cuts both ways.

Pleased Juddy is playing though as I hope the Tiges are competetive in his time on the field - if we are not (let's face it Juddy is not in Brownlow peak-fitness) then the Tiges pre-season form will follow us throughout the season, sadly.
