Someone made this point in another post, but it made me ask one question, for all the bagging of our respective forwards why is he immune? Personally I have been very disappointed with his efforts this year, but is it just me being too tough on the guy or is he genuinely underperforming?

PETTIFER must stand up Saturday night no Richo?? no Brown Shulz dropped he is our most experienced forward must play closer to goal & kick no less than 3 or 4. It's Pettifer time let us see if he is up to it!!

last yr during this game, petts tore a new a hole in te bombers outfit, only problem was he had the ipps and could not convert. lets hope tom night he has his kicking boot on

Petts is not immune mate - where have you been.... the guy has been under constant scrutiny for a while.

Agree, he's got plenty of knockers. I think he's worked harder in the last three games.

Pettifer immune............ :rofl

Even when he plays well it is claimed on here he is soft if he misses one tackle, didn't chase if the camera angle makes it look like it, and has a bad attitude if he cusses because he misses one shot in four. He's certainly no gun, but he can hurt oppositions more than most in our team.................

thanks, nice he's getting some attention (only been around last few weeks, and most threads Ive seen have dealt with others)

He was very disappointing earlier in the season, But has lifted over the last 3-4 weeks.
With Richo most likely out and no Brown or Schulz, Pettifer has to stand up and the lead the way in the foward half.

HE AND TUCKY ARE THE ONLY PLAYERS WHO HAVE NOT MISSED A GAME under Wallace

they are both on 53 consecutive richmond games

the most of any current player

i'd say wallace thinks pettifer and tuck are pretty handy.

Needs to attack the ball with %120 conviction tomorrow night regardless of if its in the air on the ground.

Some of his ground work in loose ball gets has been marshmallow like this year.

It better be PETTIFER time because so far this year all i have seen is PETRIFIED time

If its not Pettifer time tomorrow night i think it better be PINE time then COBURG time

Good post

Was extremely poor early in the year when he was playing close to goal, and trying to milk free kicks, outmuscles opponents which he simply cannot do.

In the last few weeks, he has got back on his bike and started working hard again. He is at his most dangerous when hes presenting up past half forward and to the wings to give us a hit up playing when we come forward.

Happy with his game in recent weeks, save for that embarrassing effort at the clearance last week. Has actually gone in for a few centre bounces which is interesting.

I will second that!!

Pettifer is an interesting one in the context of this discussion. He could quite easily slip under the guard of the bombers with all the hype about Richo, Jack and KK. I hope this is the case as he really needs to stand up and there aint much better grandstands on which to play your aces.

Lets hope he can produce a bit of what we saw in 2006. Petts needs to revisit the days of Wallaces arrival and realise he still has a way to go if he wants to keep his spot.
