Yes,

I must say, one of the most worthwhile things I did last year was join the Tiger Rookie Club.

I got to compete in Footy Tipping against all the BIG names at Tigerland.

I got to read Greg Miller's inner thoughts on the Tiges.

I got to read the emergent writings of the next Charles Dickens, our rookie Angus Graham.

And I got to sit for 4 hours watching videos of all the juniors I'd recorded stats on.

If you enjoyed the Tiger Rookie Club too, or would like to join for the first time.

The Richmond Rookie Club is set to return in 2007! After a successful inaugural season last year, where the club raised significant funding to acquire another rookie on the list (Angus Graham), the objective of the Rookie Club in 2007 is to increase the recruiting budget to a figure comparable to that of the stronger financial clubs in the AFL.
Benefits for Richmond Rookie Club Members in 2007 includes;

Start of Season Catch-Up - Meet our new rookie, Tas Clingan, and listen to the club's recruiting staff outline their priorities for the 2007 National Draft. Taking place before the Round 1 game against Carlton, this also is an opportunity to meet other new draftees, and network with fellow Richmond Rookie Club members for 2007.

Exclusive Emails from Recruiting Staff - Greg Miller, Francis Jackson and the Recruiting team will this year provide monthly information on which junior players are on the clubs radar, the data the club uses to assist in its decision making process, and other important information with regards to recruiting. This is your chance to be part of our recruiting team.

Online Footy Tipping Competition - First prize again the will be a day in the coaches box, with prizes for second and third place-getters this year ! Compete against RFC identities and your fellow Rookie Club members for the coveted prize. This year the competition will be simplified by using footytips.com.au, which will also allow for SMS tips to be placed and other advanced features.

Diary of a Rookie - The 2007 Rookie, Tas Clingan, has a big task living up to the high standards set by Angus Graham last year ! Each month via email, Tas will deliver a report on his time at and away from the club, as he adjusts to life in Melbourne and as an AFL footballer.

Draft Preview Night - Join Greg and Francis as they preview the 2007 National Draft. This night has been held for the past two years, and has became a must-attend event on the RFC calendar. Spanning four hours, the draft preview night is an in-depth look at potential recruits, including analysis of their video and statistical data. Finger food and refreshments will be provided.

The cost of the Rookie Club for 2007 is $77 (inclusive of GST). To be part of the Rookie Club, simply click here and fill in the payment details form.

For any enquiries, including becoming the major sponsor of the Rookie Cub, please email Hayden Hill on [email protected]

I just hope for $77, there is a hell of lot more food served at the Greg/Frank Rookie night than last year. ;D

was just looking at the nsw scholarship thread and the fact jackson was lamenting the lack of talent scouts around the country. perhaps our rookie club money should go towards paying someone to scout for us seeing as how our list is full up this yr. any thoughts

As noted in the clubs newsletter... the objective of the Rookie Club in 2007 is to increase the recruiting budget to a figure comparable to that of the stronger financial clubs in the AFL.

I'm happy to chuck my money in and let them allocate towards whatever recruiting needs they feel appropriate.

Great idea, definetly worth investing in this side of the recruiting caper. :clap

Signed up myself again, a very good idea.

Will Tas be as entertaining a columnist as Angus? Will Clever be the butt of his humour?
