Thanks to Craig I can tell you all, we are the real deal now.

if we were still the same old hacks, then Craig would still be around posting his list of 'duds' on all the threads.

wallace commented on the radio as i was driving home that we had 1000 less games experience than the saints, your right these young guys will mature and the close losses will become wins...
i think the experience thing is a cop out as well. 11 of the team from the saints game is 23or more this yr. another 5 are 22 this yr there wasnt a player younger than 20.whilst a young side experience certainly should not be an excuse next yr.

we should not be expecting to many wins this yr we are in full on development mode we have many kids we need/must play to improve. we are a minimum 2 drafts away.what we need to focus on is structure player type and depth we are poor in all three areas even though we have some decent players coming thru.

A bit more composure over his kicking and he'll be fine. Hard to replace his aggression and hardness.

Like it was hard to replace Tim Fleming's aggression and hardness?

Don't get me wrong, I like King, but he has to eradicate the all-too-frequent errors from his game if he's gonna stay in the backline.

You're usually a fountain of knowledge Claw, so I'm surprised you overlooked the fact that we actually had 2 guys running around against the Aints who are still teenagers.....Edwards and Jack.....

Were playing key roles in our forward line too..

It's hard to predict with players like Simmo, Richo, NGB and Sugar when they'll roll over. One thing I do know is that if you've got a quartet of 30yos they don't all fall over at once.

But this I can tell you. When that quartet requires it will be a tough year for us. Maybe two years.

IMO we'll be in peak form with this list in 08 and 09. And we'll almost certainly have a trough around 2010-11. Better to have this trough and rebuild strongly in 2012? Or hedge it by trading draft choices for experienced players?

Despite our occasional spectacular error at the draft table we've done a lot better there than with trading first and second round draft choices IMO and that's the path I'd like to see us take.
