Jack Dyer Medal - 2022

Three notable guys not in the top 20
Soldo Balta & Castagna
Castagna had a year to forget
Soldo is coming back from a knee needs time to get full confidence back.
And i think Hardwick isn't a huge fan of Balta and I wouldn't be surprised he is the one squeezed out to get the GWS boys in.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised. I'd be *smile*'ing gobsmacked.

Not a huge fan? You're projecting again.
He should be killing it, with his size and his speed but at times looks disinterested and hasn't got the footy smarts.
Let's wait and see

wouldn't have picked Tom to win but you can see why - and those last few games were some of the best I've seen from a forward
happy for Marlion to be recognised for his community work and got a lot of deserved votes for his play
Dan Rioli - just very happy he's playing like he is and he's a Tiger
Congrats to the rest of the gang
weird 'almost year' for us but i feel positive going forward and the club will too

He looked a million times better when he knew his role as a defender from the outset. This year he was thrown around every second week and then got injured too. He needs to be told CHB all year - simple as that.

Castagna may remember 2022 as his final year as a senior player - certainly as a regular senior player
Agree with your Soldo comment
Reckon you’ve reverted to making stuff up again here. Balta is an absolute lock with RFC and the coach

I have 'reverted to make things up?".
He was front and centre with trade options
In the local paper
Maybe I'm not the only one that thinks he can gets us these 2 kids without selling the farm.

Many on here claimed he could be a forward, I've never seen it. Looked lost in the forward half. Pinch hit in the ruck but key back is his role. Gibcus and Balta should be the pillars for the next 7-10 years. Balta is only 22. Will be 23 for the season next year, and still a pup in terms of big men. Best footy between 25-28.
Loads of improvement but just let him play back.

Soldo will need the 12 months to full recover. He’ll be better next season.
Remember Rodan? Done his knee, first season back he struggled, so we traded him to port. Had a brilliant career afterwards.

Lynch winning is a bit of a canary in the coal mine really.

Not sure many premiership teams would have full forwards winning the best and fairest. Badly need to get these GWS boys in.

Not sure many clubs have a forward that has this type of year.

Clearly should've been All-Australian. No issue with it all.

Fair chance Jeremy Cameron or Tom Hawkins wins Geelong.
