It is funny when you watch that attempt from 35 out in the Collingwood game which didn't make the distance and compare it to the kick in the Preliminary Final from about 50 when he scored a vital point to put us a clear goal ahead.

I really think JR struggled during the lockdown last year and only found his mojo again towards the end of the year.

Clearly coming to the end of an illustrious career and now a career with 3 flags, but he showed at the business end of the season he still has a lot to offer.

He admitted lasst year he lost interest with Rona expecting the season not to go ahead and played dad more than he probably shouldve in regard to footy.

Got caught out like plenty of our lot did.

Had we not got those back to back games and wins against the Godeez and the Swans 2020 may well have had a much different ending for the RFC.

Personally I don’t think there is much doubt Jack is on the way down as a player and that is perfectly understandable.
He doesn’t have the spring he used to have and it’s now his smarts that gets him a lot of goals. Still well worth his place in the team but we have to start planning for his replacement for sure.
I am not saying this to criticise him because he is a legend of the club and one of our greatest ever forwards, it’s just reality.
