Maybe, but don't stop and reminstrate with the Umpire while you could be giving a second or third effort in defense rather than stopping and having a cry to the Umpires.

Maybe I'm just a sucker but I don't think Jack is as bad as everyone makes out. He was getting mauled the other day so he was frustrated. I was frustrated watching it.

I understand that Knighter. The poor bugger doesn't get the frees he should and I can feel the frustration. BUT the game goes on, it doesn't come to a halt because Jack is questioning or remonstrating with the umpire.
Players since the year dot have had free kicks missed or paid against them. As I said he needs to get on with the game, lead by example, not question the umps so much. All they do is turn a deaf ear or look the other way, it's not right but it happens.

Perfect example was the Tuck mark.
Tuck and Post were competing against about three North opponents while Jack and Thompson were coming later to the contest.
As Jack got close he was pushed by Thompson as usual and turned to complain to the umpire.
In the replay it is funny to watch Jack turn and complain while the contest continues and then his realisation that Tuck has taken a mark in front so he should just shut up.

Re: Jack Riewoldt

From the outside it looks like either jack is a very slow learner or Hardwick isn't doing his job. He is embarrassingly undisaplined with his body language, spooking and continual mark of the year attempts. Something needs to be done.

I know he had an interrupted pre season, but he needs to get stronger.

Re: Jack Riewoldt

The mistake he is making (and I don't think he's as bad as some are making out) is thinking that by complaining to the umpires he will get a different result. Needs to accept it won't change anything and move on. He'll start to enjoy his footy even more than he already does when he realizes this.

I experienced a similar thing in a different sport that I've been a part of for bout 30 years. Game became fun again when I stopped sweating the little things. Even seemed that I started getting a better run of umpiring decisions following the shift in thinking.

Re: Jack Riewoldt

Personally think any behavioural issues are blown away out of proportion. Jack has improved this area drastically.
Occasionally still remonstrates but so do many players without the scrutiny Jack gets but I guess the media need something to focus on.

Yep.

Re: Jack Riewoldt

Play the ball tonight Jack and don't engage in locking up with your opponent = 6+ goals!!!!!

Looks terrible trying to jostle with his man, simply does not have the upper body strength to do so.

Lead Jack Lead

Re: Jack Riewoldt

Damien Parrott on triplem last night trying to tell wayne carey that cloke has had a better year than jack. When carey says riewoldt has had a much better year and is second in the coleman parrott gets shut down completely. This mug has an agenda against richmond i hate him

Re: Jack Riewoldt

Need to get Reiwoldt mobile early.

Pushing him up the ground early would assist.

And to do that he needs space. Our forward press really hampers Jack. We get way too many blokes moving into the forward 50.

Re: Jack Riewoldt

If jack's not having a good game, dimma make the move and put him one out in the square like petrie last week.
