Funny you say about up north. In AFL now, you can't touch a players back, anything above the shoulders & you are gone, anything below the waist is a trip(unless you are D.Fletcher) & now a player being dumped on his side is rough conduct. That only leaves a front on tackle like rugby, oh but ho shirtfronts - thats a charge. Just make the game non-contact & be done with it. No confusion then.
Rough conduct is the charge hey, wonder what Lids thinks about a blatant kick to the hand or being dumped in a tackle?
The AFL tribunal has totally lost the plot.
