Jackson and Moore

i do think they are scared because there is no size or presence around to protect them

where is our albert proud, shannon hurn, nathan jones, ???

oh thats right, we have tivendale, foley, lids, johnson (absent), tuck

no wonder they are scared!!!!

Gawd guys, why the carry on over a practice game!

Which team was on top of the ladder last year after round 2 with a percentage of over 220? Same team that won the pre-seson competion and finished with less wins than us despite our *smile* draw and injury toll.

How good did the hawks look 3 rounds into last season???

How good did they look first round of 2004 when they smashed the Demons in the first round? The same round that we incidently smashed Collingwood with Ottens starring!!

Funny thing was both us and the Hawks were sharing the first picks in the draft that year (Delidio, Tambling, Roughead, Franklin), with Ottens being so bad we ended up trading him for a couple of draft picks!

Collingwood played off in the finals and the Demons were unlucky not to be playing off.

Who cares whose scared, looks *smile*, needs to be delisted etc etc when we're still in summer! Wait until the dust starts to settle - like in about round 6 or 7!

I like and agree with just about all your posts Fricks, but I can agree about not caring if a players scared.

If a footballer is afraid of a contest he should retire from the game at any level.
The impact of a bloke dogging a contest causes a negative effect that spreads through a side like a cancer, and at the same time makes the opposition lift dramatically when they know they have that players 'number' so to speak.

I aint fussed about the game or the result too much, although there was some alarmingly poor periods for us during it.

the only thing i will add is that when you have big bodied mongrels to support you and show you the way - setting the standard the skinny scared kids follow the leader.......

who is showing our kids the way... who is setting our standards??

The one bloke who could have yesterday spent much of the day in the ruck. Silly stuff.

tuck doesnt really throw his weight around and doesnt set the hardness example IMO, he would do this if someone else was there (ie) Ricuitto, Mooney, Pickett etc

As I said, the one bloke that could have yesterday was Tuck. No Coughlan or Johnson, Tucky wa the next most experienced and bigger bodied mid who could have got a bit of hard pill. But, no, he was expected to tap it out and get it too. ???

No Simmonds, Schulz, Hall, Patto, Johnno, P.Bo or Cog, plus the big Richo didn't last long.
There's a few large and hardened players missing that left the side a bit unbalanced.
The Cats would have been desperate to attone for their crap season last year and make a statement, lets see them do it for thirty games if they want to get to a flag.
Pre season is preseason I'm not overly bothered about this month, just want them up and running for round one.

Did anyone else note Wallace's comments about Moore on the RFC Website. Very pleased that Moore was able to keep O'Keefe quiet al game - 14 possessions, no goals and only one inside 50. Makes a bit of a mockery of PRE posts regarding Moore which on the whole weren't complimentary for the game against Sydney.
I think Wallace is really hoping Moore steps up. Would be good for RFC if he does.

Nice to see something - test is still the real games.

Yes, which takes us back to the original comments that started this thread: "...they fail to impress when given an opporunity"
