Close but no bananas.

It starts with an A but is further west.
What are you suggesting Rimau? You claim Matts being groomed for a task at Coburg and now it's west of the forward line starting with A. Sounds like Matty might be contemplating a future somewhere in Aderlaide.
Matt must have been around nearly long enough to be in contention for free agency so if he's out of contract it would be the perfect opportunity to revitalise his career with a change of scenery.
Must be a bit hard for him to contemplate, coming from a long time Tiger family. If things are looking that way for Matt good luck to him.

Tripping is a bit of a dog act I reckon. It is not in the spirit of the game and is probably more dangerous than actually clocking someone.

Yeah, I was surprised Kingy did it. He's a narky little pr!ck, but I wouldn't have thought a tripper. May have been a reflex desperation act.

Wasn't defending tripping, just that it doesn't fit the spray.

I took it to mean West of the Eastern Football League. Thats in the city and where the AFL is based.

Carrying a number of injuries, not just the knee.
A credit to his toughness and committment to the cause that he gets out there week after week.

It is not a credit to any player when they take the field and hide an injury (that limits their performance) from their team mates and the club.

If a fit player played in those games that we lost by a small margin, maybe we could have won.

Its a big MAYBE, but professional footballers need to be honest, for the sake of the team.

Re: Jake King (Merged)

Yes, he's doing well.

Big fan of Hardwick and what he's brought to the RFC.

For King to have returned from a knee injury weeks earlier than expected, underdone and without a run at Coburg, says a lot about how he is perceived by the match committee.

Who said he's hiding an injury from the club?

Re: Jake King (Merged)

With the degree of performance management and monitoring that goes on now, I find it highly unlikely that a player could mask a performance-limiting injury.

Re: Jake King (Merged)

As his proud President, I thought Jake did well on Marngrook tonight, he seemed comfortable among like minded souls. Love you jakey :clap

I think on before the game he said the docs wanted to give him more recovery time, but he insisted he was right to come back.

Re: Jake King (Merged)

At the DT game King looked unfit to me. But it is up to our medical and match committee to make the selection call.

Good, so we have established that the claim that he was hiding an injury is incorrect.

Can only assume it was a reference to the Collingwood game.

The team will also be without the spirited Jake King who will miss the next six weeks due to a PCL injury suffered in the first two minutes of the game. King was eventually subbed off at three-quarter time and the coach said he was a big loss.

"For the little bugger (King) to hang tough for as long as he did was probably a testament to the kid himself but [also] the way we played for the majority of the night," said Hardwick.

"The thing with him is he doesn't tell you what is wrong half the time, he's a bloody idiot really. That's the type of kid he is."
