Jake had his intervention order extended to 6 months this morning.

Quality player? Hardly. Then I guess it depends on your interpretation of a quality player. Mine would be asking yourself how many other teams would said player get a game in on a regular basis. McMahon, Tambling and Polo all managed top 10 finishes in the RFC B&F, in fact Tambling more so. Wouldn't call them quality players. Facts are we're very light on in the small, crumbing forward deparment for quality so King is living a blessed life at the moment in his new role and didn't pay for his massive form slump over the last 6-7 weeks after a decent start to the year. We need to find better. A Garlett type.

Jake was better against the Dees but I'm not sure that tells us much.
Agree, that type would be nice. Amazing that the Blues got both he and Betts off the rookie list.

Will no doubt be retained, but run his race I feel. Hopefully just a depth player for next year.

Yep he is handy and when guys like this become depth players it means we have competition within the playing group. He won't be the sort of guy happy playing ressies so he will bust his gut to take someones spot.

Still ahead of plenty of others like Fatty Farmer. Still applies a lot of defensive pressure as part of the press, but agree needs to lift his output if he intends to stay. At the moment not a lot of challengers for his spot.

Agree with the Barnzy/TOO gist re Jake but man I wish some others in the side could stick a tackle like him. He's a frikkin clamp.

Agree. Odd series of posts. Must be one of our top 6-8. Kicked plenty of goals this year and great defensively. Very good against Melbourne.

The token backhanded compliments just show the true nature of some so called supporters on this site. Even when Jake isnt kicking goals he is always setting other blokes up and doing the things that you would want from a player who doesnt have the ball.
Its a pitty that a bloke who has been so accurate in front of goal and has enabled his team mates to score more easily still cops the crap he does, but then again faves will be faves right :
