Jako wacko does it again

Wonder if we'd get a late 1st rounder as compo for Jacko??

I thought he has been pretty good this year though.

I hope we don't get rid of Jackson... I find him to be a solid Newman like player.... Not as reliable. Not as composed. Not as consistent. Not as skillful. But is a solid player that doesn't really have any flaws... He's not going to do anything special, but he's great as a tagger, and in the next couple of weeks, we'll see that a key part of our midfield is missing when he's out...

He improves as much as the whole team improves... Would personally be very disappointing to see him traded at the end of the year...

Indeed though, we can't have players doing these stupid little brain fades and putting them out of the side.... Fortunately we have a LOT of guys we want to get games into, and we aren't making a run for the top 4 or 8, otherwise this sort of stuff is almost unforgivable....

We had to many of these last year... Even Cotchin managed a really terrible one... McGuane second game of the year put himself out... Just not good enough when we are trying to develop a reliable, solid side...

I think whatever the MRP gives these players, we have to at least match it with games at Coburg.... Didn't we have the most rounds of suspension for any club in the AFL last year?? Or close to it?? Well we've continued the trend this year and we have to stamp it out as quick as possible for the Martins and Whites and even Lids catches the brain fade bug and gets themselves rubbed out...

The extraordinary thing is I think on average we get more suspension from games we win and do well in... Tarnishes the good work... And just doesn't make sense... You'd think if we were getting thumped every week and frustration was high that would equal more suspensions... But it's like, when the teams winning, players like Jackson relax their concentration and get complacent..

So other than not being as skilful, reliable, consistent and composed he's just like Newman IYO? :help

I know, that sounded a bit retarted.... If we had a full side of Newman's we'd be a top 4 side.... So he's not as good as newman in any particular area, but as a great all round player, who puts in their whole every single game. Runs the entire field and gets into everything he can. DOES use his intelligence to direct the play, then I put him up there as important to the team as Newman is..

Jackson and Newman are still the top two people I trust to deliver the ball to Reiwoldt's advantage when we are entering 50....

I guess I was just saying I have big respect for how Jackson plays his footy... And when I try to think of a player I have equal respect for I consider Newman...
Newman rarely gets a mention from commentators and opposition coaches when they talk about Richmond's best but he is as solid as they come right over the ground..

I hold Jackson up their as well... Not as high, but a player that offers a lot to the team...

Dizzie, if we had a team full of Newmans, we'd be top 4 all right, in scores against, in fact we'd be on top. I like Newie and his last couple of years as skipper have been super impressive, but he's as loose as a c**k in a sock, as a defender. A couple of Newies on the wings would be perfect. Just MO of course....

Very silly thing to do and we already know the MRP have something against us can't see him getting anything less than 3 weeks.

Looked like it was in retribution to something we didnt see or hear but regardless he'll warming the bench for 3 to 4 weeks

While Jacko has a bit of an issue with the way he exerts aggression, Dimma putting the mongrel back into the tiger after years of us getting pushed around is to be applauded. Hawthorn had a terrible MRP record when they won the flag. Some of it goes with the territory.

Looked bad but contact seemed minimal. Prob get two despite it being soft

Jackson had 11 I50's on Sun and not one score assist. He is leading the league in I50's (30) yet is not in the Top 50 in goal assists (3).

He can kick the ball long but not accurately.

His lack of discipline is disappointing as he is important to the side

His defence is simple - " I really dont like Nahas and I was lining him up, but the North player got his head in the road"

interesting stat their score assists. our 1st goal came from a jackson long kick to jack. he marked and goaled. surely that is an assist?

Damn ranga, he's cost me $50.

C'mon Baloo, you know you'd have gladly paid $50 for a single weeks suspension before that verdict was passed down .......... for all those here that rate the bloke , thats an absolute BONUS ...those 'tards sitting on that panel must have their money squarely on the Tiges for the Freo match after hearing this decision.

Good luck to the kid, lets see what he makes of this gift when he returns.

I'd rather not have to pay money out of my own pockets for his red mist episodes, but I did it to myself by pledging $50 a report for Jacko. Serves me right.

Silly boy, I hope there was some mitigating circumstance, i.e. Jacko saw a cheap shot earlier that needed to be repaid. If not, then he was stupid.

Take the one week and RUN ...

I would much prefer a hard bodied Jackson type with clearances, hard tags, I50s, contested possessions any day ahead of the skinny Titch Edwards types with little defensive attributes and poor disposal. At least Jacko's poor disposal gets the ball into our i50 to a 50/50 contest with Jack R more than half a chance to make something of it ...

Looks like he gets to whack Ballantyne again. :)

a query, jackson's suspensions last year, 1 was for rubbing his head on brown whilst running off the ground after brown run thru him, and the other was his hit on the ballantyne? the one where many reckon ballantyne run into him? are those 2 correct? was he rubbed out much before last year?

his elbow on sunday was stupid but im not sure his reputation for silly suspensions is totally warranted.
