Jako wacko does it again

So why do you make personal judgements about me, embellisheded with rolly eyes, because I think comments about getting rid of Dan are way off the mark. Why shouldn't I "question" (your claim) them? Some are quick to sink the boots in but not balance it with credit for the positives. My "opinion" is that it's very disappointing, especially when Dan's brownie points for the year are in credit...despite him letting himself and the team down by being suspended for a week.

A comment on many of your typical responses on other threads - where you often say "I don't have an opinion" whilst criticising/questioning someone who does.

How about you stick to facts then rather than putting 2 and 2 together to make five. I said I didn't have an opinion on how many weeks. Despite your claims to the contrary I'd already posted my opinion on the actual incident. I didn't question anyone else's opinions about that either.

Wow, the circular arguments in this thread...

I wish I had your patience, Rosy. :brickwall

FWIW, IMO agression is good but it was a stupid act. Jacko drops brownie points but he has points in the bank. THE TEAM is very lucky he'll only miss one.

Take the one week and be done with it. Fortunate outcome. Jackson is playing a decent role in the midfield, especially with his size and work ethic. Tuck should be able to cover his role for a week. May even see Morton get a go amongst the midfield rotations.

The Age must have got it wrong?

What about the 3 goal asissts from 30 I50's? We have the best contested mark in the game to kick to you'd think he would have done better?

Do you have an opinion on his discipline issues?

yep they definitely got that wrong, makes you wonder about the stat in general. that was as clear as an assist as you will see.
im guessing he doesnt get many assists bc, as well as the stats guys missing them, he tends to kick long to contests when he kick inside 50. as you say, prob a good tactic with jack up there.

discipline issues: as said i think the 2times he was rubbed out last year he could be considered unlucky, but yes jackson is prone to the occasional brain fade, both with and off the ball. he is elbow on sunday was pretty ordinary.

Wasn't there a time where you would get Reported/Suspended for intentional tripping?

Pretty sure Conca was legged on the weekend and nothing came of that.

What about Lindsay Thomas hit on Newman? Hit him flush with the forearm and was never in the contest and came in late.

MRP = JOKE

And the 1 week suspension to Jackson is fair, watched the footage many times and he barely connected with his elbow, slight connection but nothing forceful enough to warrant a 3-4 week suspension.

Reckless low impact.

Agree, it did seem as if the blow was glancing. Jackson was defiantly lucky that it didn't land with much force and Campbell Brown happened the week before

Fair Dinkum, every week on PRE the MRP cops a hiding for their lack of knowledge on handing out the right penalty for the right crime.

But when one of PRE's golden children get a lucky call, the MRP are noble judges of our game.

Think it was 3 times last year, he got a reprimand the first time.

It's fair if Campbell brown got two for his elbow, that doesn't mean in a perfect world it's fair.

On the other hand the 3 he got for the 'headbutt' was ridiculous, maybe what goes around..

Couldn't agree more Snooper - am a fan of all our players and on the one hand am rapt he got only a week, but what a disgraceful decision by the MRP - just confirms for me what a pathetic system it has become, which is an irony given the purpose it was set up for - it's like a golden snitch - catch it if you can!

He,s abit stiff Jacko.I mean if a bloke can get off for a kick to the Kahuna,s then i guess a deliberate elbow should also got him 0 weeks. :help

I'd like to know why Jackson gets a week for that, but Lindsay Thomas doesn't even get cited for his effort on Newman.

10 minutes to go in the game, Newman kicks the ball out from the fullback area, and Thomas comes in so late you'd have thought Christmas might have beaten him. Gave Newman a fair old whack with the forearm.

It was crude, but doesn't affect us. Can only assume the MRP have incorporated a 'damage' multiplier into their points system. Newman got up slowly, but he got up.

Many North supporters would be filthy he didn't go up, anyway. Their angst towards Thomas is approaching Tambling levels.
