I just wanted to throw something out there, to see what other tiger fans think.
Is James Hird up there with Carey as the best of the best ? So many bomber fans are quick to point out he was likely the best midfielder there ever was and was a match winner on so many occasions.
Myself i think he was a great player, but not in the same league as Carey, Abblett, KB, Hart, Jezza, Tuck etc. I always remember Hird being injured and it always seemed as if the media would pump him up just like Kouta (who i rate alongside Hird and other blokes like Bucks, Voss etc).
Maybe its the inner tiger in me not wanting to admit he was the bees knees, i know he was good but how good do you think ?
