Any thoughts on whether it would be worthwhile trying to get him to Punt Road seeing he was a mad tiger suporter, but more importantly a handy Defender.
1. Is he worth getting (I think so to shore our Defence)
2. What would it take ? (3rd or 4th round pick is all we should be offering assuming he wants to come)

I think the deal with Saddington expired a few years ago...Collingwood wanted something for Nick Davis, but Saddington never figured in the deal - Might be saying something there?

I think the question of his knee and age will go against him in being considered with any possible trade.

Yet again if it costs the club a 5th round pick or later, you never know. Gut feeling I would tend to agree with Tigermad2005.

His uncle Col Saddington played for the Tigers, which is why he followed them. Honestly Sydney try and offload this guy every year. Maybe some club will fall for it, but I hope it's not Richmond.

Exactly.

Another skinny leper, exposed as a never-was KPP.

There are plenty of younger Jason Saddingtons about. Freo are looking to move a few.

Eade was looking to get rid of him while he was there so you wouldn't expect the dogs to be interested.

Sado's knees just called in from a nursing home. He has the moblity of a 65 year old.
I think the theme is pretty clear at PRE, let's make our own champions.

Didn't we go through this scenario, this time, last year. ;)

To whom it may concern,

Jason Saddington is a champion and an excellent prospect for any AFL club. He'd be a steal @ $400k per season. An agile and injury free player he certain to hold down a key poistion post.

Yours sincerely,
Jason Saddington

I live around the corner from his parents, and I can tell you he does DEFINATELY want to come back to Victoria. I heard that Sydney are keen on Campbell Brown(Haw) and offered Saddington plus a 3rd Round pick. Don't think the hawks would be too keen on that deal though. A few years ago for sure, but he's too injury-prone and can't even get a game for them now.

Wallace has done the right thing in axing most of the recycled midfielders but adding a couple of big big blokes.

Now we can stick to trading our guys for picks and then drafting kids.

we must draft the best available too.

we need a ruck, a key position player, an inside mid, outside mid and a rover so it the first pick will work for us if we just take the best available.
