Yeah. That bloke has NFI, like I said.

His other theory is that the biggest billy artist of all time played until last year. Could only play a quarter then he'd lose interest.

But again he probably just had no tank.

But you've got to admit J does have the ideal name. ;D

I have been told that a former Capitan and then coach from a famous football family loved his mary jane and he had a big tank, but it was an era before drug tests got serious.

I will give you that Jay does look and sound the part

Had 29 touches with a 90% effective disposal rate.

Yes he did a lot of waxing, and made one error that lead to a goal, but also made a beautiful pack busting spoil in the last.

Overall one of his best games.

Played some good footy at times today. Made a couple of blues but a good contributor, I thought.

17 marks as well. But there are still some who want him moved on.Silly IMO.

yep he played well today would go so far as to say it was his best game for the club. still after 6 yrs 2 good games a career it does not make.

Have always thought that TW has done Jay no favours ,in saying that Jay could have done more of course......personally seen some reasonable signs in his utilty role this year, has got back an helped out well an also been a good mis match across half forward at times.

Agree. As much as PRE likes to claim that Luke McGuane is a whipping boy, Sarge is TW's whipping boy. If someone said that Jay *smile* would one day get 29 touches and 17 marks playing out of the back half would have got laughed at. I think he has been serviceable without being great this year.

Does he have the tank to play a Richo type role go forward back run through the middle reads the play ok generally uses the footy well & takes a good grab?

No one has Richo's tank, but you don't get 29 possessions in a AFL game without having a decent tank.

Agree but I think he may play his best footy as a roaming type player not in a set position.
With some doubt still over Polak, Jay is probably the best option we have for a big utility. Needs to work a bit harder and show more consistency though.

Started off badly with some terrible kicks in the first quarter, then got going after that to play a pretty good game.
