Jayden Post To Debut

I see the comparison. Just hope that Post has a few more marbles rolling around in the paintcan. Croad is well known as the dumbest cat pulling on an AFL jumper!

True story of a recent conversation a mate had with Croad;

"How is the foot injury going"

"Not so good, I have broken my Vernacular"

"Ah, I think you might mean your Navicular"

"No, pretty sure it was my Vernacular"

Seriously, I am not kidding!!!!

Agree. Both Post and Vickery attacked that contest very hard. Good to see.

Both have shown more in a handful of games than half our list have in their entire careers.

They look promising and I hope Rawlings plays them now until the end of the season.

Would have had Schulz and Hughes shakin' in their underachieving boots.

As poor as Schulz and Hughes have been, with Post, Big Vic, Jack and Richo when / if he comes back and maybe even the Goo is it possible we have the beginnings of depth and competition for spots?
Something we have lacked for a long time and is required if we want any sort of success.

Very impressive game i thought.
Apart from all the highlights people have brought out, something else made me smile.

I think it was the last quarter 20m out from goal when Post and Vickery contested a mark with Post flying in from nowhere to crash the pack. Sure we dropped the ball, and Carlton rebounded, but the attack on the footy from Post was awesome!
Hurt Vickery in that contest with some friendly fire who was on the ground grimacing for a short while after. Good to see them both going hard.

Like the look of him and the early moans on his kicking seem overated at this stage.

Big call hopper, plenty of competition on that front.

He is a kiwi hopper! ;D

My question is will he be a power forward?

If so then our forward line looks good with Riewoldt, Morton, Nahas and Post. Throw in Vickery and we have some fire power!

I'm hoping he might be a forward.
He times his leads very well, and had a set shot from out on the boundary on Saturday that looked ok technically.
Fingers crossed, but i think we might have a good one, in Wilbur.
