I agree with that, and if Griff works out at CHB we can move Post forward again. I don't think we can afford to offload him given our lack of KPP depth.

Yup. The first two are difficult to teach, the next two ... well its in his hands. He should aim to be ahead of Miller (at least) by the end of this season.

Stats don't reflect the moment where Watts rag dolled the Goo, I'll just repeat that.. Watts rag dolled the Goo

Far be it from me to defend Goo staying on the list. Just drawing comparison.
Don't think too many will forget Post's rag dolling in round 1 in a hurry either.

Posty's only problem is his lack of confidence

He has all the attributes to be a more than handy forward
Big mark, huge leap and best of all has height, and is still young

Yep I'd love to see him selected before the end of the season in the knowledge he could have a few games to adjust without the worry of being dropped if he doesn't have a top game or two.

Pretty sure I tipped him as a big improver this season. Hope he gets a good chance.

I don't mean to be critical, but in my opinion Jayden is to slow by foot and to slow by disposal.

I have never had much to say about Posty.

As i haven't looked that closely at him.

i figure he was a big kid, that did well against other kids, and has struggled against men.

I just want to know what his future holds, is he a yes or a no?

You need more than just a good pair of hands. Cleve Hughes had a good pair of hands but that was it. He isnt mobile enough, one paced, isn't quick off the mark and isnt clean enough. Good kid. But you need a few tricks to your bow to make it at AFL level. But would love to be proven wrong

50/50 chance IMO, very hard to call.
Could be the next Lonergan or could be the next Gourdis.

The Goo was much more athletic and hasn't had 23 games to have a crack.
I'd love Post to make it but he has no urgency about him. Unfortunately if he wasn't selected tomorrow then he won't get another game down back after the last showing in rd 1

Just remember, too, that Lonergan was:
1. Drafted in 2002.
2. Debuted in 2005,
3. Didn't play more than 10 games in a season till 2008,
4. Didn't become a regular until 2010.

Lonegan didn't debut until he was 21.
He didn't become a regular in the Geelong line up until he was 26yo.

And, yes, I know about his renal/abdominal problem.

Deciding on 22yo talls is fraught with danger.

Was Lonergan similar to Post in ability at Post's current age, or was he starting from a more advanced level? I've seen little of Lonergan over the years.

I am a post fan.
I would like him to get similar treatment to Edwards - is that too much to ask
I mean Edwrds plays average football - he is no standout
So give Post a decent run in the side to prove if he really has got what it takes.

Lonergan suffered from 'skinny kid' syndrome.

Basically, he didn't have the body to compete at AFL level when first drafted.

It took him years to develop his body and the consequent confidence that comes with it.

Credit to him that he also overcame the loss of a kidney in his development years.
