Jayden Post

I just hope we use him properly and if at CHF, we've worked out a better plan on how to approach our I50.

I'll be interested in how he rucks.

Remember one of his earlier games he was likened to a young Richo - but there is definitely no love form him by the coaches. Has to do it the hard way, last chance this week. I like him, go Postie, show us what it means to be a true tiger.

By this stage, I should have put a line through Post. But I still feel he can make it.

Still think he has a lot to offer.

Too slow, too poor below his knees, lacks confidence & intensity.

Still he's the best we've got for this week & should be played ahead of Miller & Derikx. :-[

This kid can play he just needs to get it in his head if he can get it right he will be be a very handy player for us.

Both Hansen and Tarrant have both been maligned at North by their supporters but have actually started to play well, Lets hope Jayden can do a similar thing, just needs to increase his urgency and throw himself at every contest.

In fairness Hansen took some games by scruff of the neck a couple of years ago which is why he was persisted with. Tarrant they obviously had to be patient because of his injuries.

I'd really like to see Post succeed over some of the other older and tried and tested failures. He's still fairly young, he's a big unit, he can play defence or attack and even pinch hit in the ruck, if he can get it right he's going to be a very useful player for the club going forward.

If he plays forward then his papers are stamped. After the song & dance preseason about deciding to focus as a KPD with Post and he club deciding that was where he can make it, if they how him up forward today it's because he can take a chest mark.

We all know Post has been played mainly as a KPD at Coburg this year, in a somewhat dysfunctional and unbalanced side. According to my estimates however, he has played a total of 11 quartes as a forward this year for a return of 12 goals. So if he played the whole season forward at Coburg and had kicked 50 or so year to date at an average of around 4 per game, would people be looking at him in a different light? Should be played forward no doubt, in the Vickery role for the rest of the year and if he fails after 6 games back to back in the same position, then it's time to let him go. But the prospect of him clicking is too big a gain to the team to not give it a go given where we are. The risk is virtually nothing, the potential gain - however unlikely some might think it is - is massive.
