JLT game 1 v Adelaide team

It is just a practice match, but looking at the way Cartoon are performing, I can't see us losing Round 1.

Thanks Astute. Very helpful to a travelling Tiger. Noticed a massive bruise on Jack's left hand. Looks like he's had an IV drip in...

Reminder we beat the Hawks in round 1 last year of the Mickey Mouse Cup.
If memory serves it was against Box Hill not Hawthorn .....

2 positive signs I noticed.

1. More urgency and a willingness to play on and move the ball quicker

2. More numbers up the ground forward of the ball giving more options up field.

Would like to see more off ball running from behind the ball carrier to provide lateral options and spread from a contest.

Hopefully our football core game plan and philosophy is changing. Regardless of execution we need to persist.

Must not go back into our shell with the slow tempo ball security crap.

I believe we did really well in F50 tackles. Something we've been sorely lacking for a long time.

Imagine how much better our F50 pressure can still improve by just removing one player from the mix and adding another. No prizes for guessing but give it a go anyway.

Griffiths, Lloyd, Edwards, Martin and Caddy had one tackle each . Is it one of them?

Lamby, i were not basing my forward pressure on tackles alone as tigerlove was rather the inability to provide pressure around the ball and make or win contests. So none of the above were front of mind although Lloydy did have an average night. PS. Martin provides pressure by just parking himself in the forward pocket, his opponents basically crap themselves ;D

I wasn't either, I was just stating that our F50 tackles were impressive. But since you are talking about pressure I always like to keep a close eye on pressure acts and these were the best ranked for us on Friday:

Butler - 20
Vlastuin - 18
Rioli - 17
Caddy - 17
Miles - 14
Lennon - 14
Reiwlodt - 13
Cotchin - 13

Notice the guys who played quite a bit forward all in top 4 + Reiwoldt + (cough) Lennon
