Mabs is named, caesar. Maybe he's in line for a promotion.

Thanks Dyer'ere, don't know what i were smoking, both Castagna & Mab's selected. If we are looking for promotion I would go Mab's over Georgie for sure.

Reason would be that as a Rookie Soldo is not available for round 1 selection, in fact no rookies are named. So they are keeping true to their word in playing best available, (on the proviso that Shorty and Menadue have niggles that is), to get a functioning round 1 line up.

There's a senior list spot up for grabs with Yarran on the LTIL. Not sure why we aren't testing all rookies in this practice series and rewarding best performed

It will be interesting to see which listed player doesn't get game time in the JLT. Last year McJesus missed out which in hindsight was a fairly big indicator of where the club saw him.

Shorty has to have a niggle. He's a best 22 lock.

Yeah, Barnzy, I was a little surprised when I saw the team didn't contain Shorty. Has to have some sort of fitness/injury issue if he's not been selected. Hope it isn't anything major.

It wasn't what I was smoking that's the problem it was what I was given. Had a general anaesthetic today, hospital instructions where not to operate any heavy machinery, drive or make any financial decisions, maybe they should have included posting on PRE as well :)

Keep up the fluids, caesar

If Mabior gets a wriggle on Friday night that'll bring us all around, caesar. Good times.

This is a final isnt it?

It's the first game in a trio of practice matches.People need to calm down a bit and just watch these games and work out whose going to be there for round 1.

Friday night the Fat Lady will sing. After it , will it be chocolates or boiled lollies. One dares not to think that our Tigers 2017 season will be somewhat not to talk about before it starts. Until then chin up.

The Port Adelaide pre-season game last year was defining

Am I the only one who hates it when every year we play an almost full strength side in the pre-season comp as hyped up by the media, just to be (usually) beaten by a bunch of raw recruits who haven't been taught how to take the foot off the clutch yet? And then we make out like we weren't really trying, have fitness issues, still getting our heads around the 'new' game plan that hasn't changed in years, need to work harder, weren't good enough, will learn from it, we'll be right for round 1, etc, etc.

I'd much rather we play our worst team and then there might be an element of truth to the excuses.

Though a win would be nice just want to see a marked change in the game plan . We are the worst team in the comp to watch , even the bummers played a more attractive style . If we serve up the same crap as we have done over the last 2 1/2 seasons dont think I'll be watching much of us this year

there is no reason sensible or unsensible of why these two would play any games for RFC anymore. don't care if its JLT, they have zero upside so why would you let them take up a spot in any game??
would rather griffo be second ruck and mabs be CHF when hes rucking.
hunt, unbelievable......

if we wanna improve these two, plus grigg batch townsend and broad need to be out of the 22 this year. conca as well if he cant lift his game another 2 notches.

we still have a fair bit of deadwood on our list.......as usual !!

i think it was all a bit of fun. nobody who understands much about football ever really gave McBean much of a chance of making it.

;D

to get the chop and not have one club give a highly talented 200cm player a chance, even rookie list him, tells me he didn't want it enough. effectively a retirement.
