Joel Bowdan - Veteran's list

Has Joel Bowden ever been seen getting up off the bottom of a pack...?
Bit soft for you Freezer? Might want to have a look at the Don's game again.

I'd be surprised if he is still on the list given his kick chasing sideways movement.

Was just watching the game last night and it came to my attention that Foley was in and under everything - nothing new there though. I then started watching others and noticed that, while his run, carry and creativity are first class, I didn't notice him getting up off the bottom of many packs.

So I went back and had a look at a few bits of the Weagles and Pies games and the same thing was apparent.

I'm not underestimating his value - that's enormous. But he's leaving the REAL tough stuff to a few others in the backline - with King, Thursfield and McGuane leading the way.

He might not have been at the bottom of the packs but he did a couple of real gusty spoils flying back into the pack. One in the first quarter where he almost got murdered but set the tone for the backline. I reckon that is REAL tough stuff.

True - backing back into a leading Lloyd is pretty gutsy, as you say.

Yeah - likely to get his head in the small of your back as he takes a dive.
